Befriended Sabel but I still can't use the sewing machine?

I created a second character and have befriended Sabel. Because I had already befriended her on my mayor, the sewing machine is there. But I can't use it on my second account. She talks to me and everything, not saying she's busy. Yet when I press A on the sewing machine, she just talks to me like she would normally. What am I doing wrong?

I think you have to befriend her more, the sewing machine is still there with your second character because your mayor unlocked it but you have to befriend her a little more, you may be close though!

I think you have to talk to her for 7 days straight. She warms up to you after a couple days, but you probably have a couple days to go.

Every character has to do the same thing to befriend her. I can't remember offhand how many days it is (10 or 12 I think), but your second human has to do it for themselves.

Im thinking you have to befriend her on every character you use? So talk to her for second days straight again with this other character and see what that does. Can't see why it wouldn't work after that

Yeah the sewing machine will still be there but you still need to become Sable's friend so you can use it on your other character

Yeah, even though she seems friendly enough after a while, it takes a couple of days before she actually lets you use the sewing machine! Keep talking to her, and she'll eventually open up the option.
