Beetle Hunting or Turnips?

Just wanted to ask everybody how they make their money. Do you hunt beetles on the island, buy turnips, or both?

I usually only beetle hunt if I buy a dlc from someone or something else like that. Other than that I usually just sell things around my own town or sell turnips. xD;

I love beetle hunting, it makes me more than 100,000 a night. Especially if you get lucky and catch a bunch of golden stags. I have never messed with turnips before because I didn't really get how they worked. I didn't want to waste my money.

I went beetle hunting once or twice made 400k in about an hour.

Spent around 30mins once a week 3 times total made over 30million.

Turnips are the way to go.

I beetle hunted my entire house loan off. Now I do turnips since I have the extra cash to throw around.

I often missed the chance to purchase Turnips- most of my Bells are from Beetles. A healthy mix of both methods can be a solid plan- if you don't play that much, try to focus on the Stalk Market w/ Turnips.

I think once you have enough bells from beetle hunting you could go ahead and start with turnips, you'll make a huge profit

Usually turnips and selling perfect apple harvests in a friends town works for me.

I would like to give turnips a try in the future though.

I Beetle Hunt, only because it's simpler. I'm thinking about trying Turnips soon, though, so I can just pay off my house around this time and then focus on other things

I make money from beetles simply because too many people hound the ones with good turnip prices, so I don't want to add to that. I try to make some money from turnips in my own town for the badge, though. Will be very slow going.

I've yet to try turnips but plan to do so next week once I am done upgrading all my houses and have bells to spare.

Both. My town has never had the insanely high bell amounts for turnips yet as far as I know (though due to work I miss the AM times M-F). I did get lucky and was able to visit someone else's town this week to sell my turnips though.

I've turned my back on turnips because it's such a hassle to have to check prices at specific times every day. Beetle hunting is a quick and dirty way of making money, and you can do it whenever. Skip a day, no problem. Beetle hunting is a bird in the hand.

I love catching beetles. I'm not really a fan of making a profit with turnips though.

I usually do beetles, but I want to deal in turnips enough to get the gold badge for it.

The only time I ever bought turnips, I forgot that I had them and accidentally time travelled forward a few hours. /facepalm.
So it's pretty much just beetle hunting for me, for making a profit at least. might settle down and turnip-trade sometime just for the badges.
