Beau or Erik?

This is just another one of my general wonderings...
I've had them both in my town at some point, I actually had Erik twice but I lost him a couple of days ago so I've decided to get Beau as a replacement. I used to have him months ago but I let him go to get Stitches. I think Erik just edges it for me as my favourite, he's so adorable. I love his eyes just a little more than Beau's. But then I much prefer Beau's colouring.
I'm not planning on doing the cycle to get Erik back, I don't have two spare spaces to cycle between. So Beau is my only option at the moment. Which is fine as I do love him

Do you have a preference? Beau or Erik? And why?

I'm not entierly sure, since I love the both of them very much. My story with how I lost Beau is very weird, and I was mostly shocked. But when I lost Erik, I cried my eyes out. Now the deers are my favorite animal in animal crossing, and I would make a town full of deers if I could, because I love them so much. But if anyone, I think I'd rather have Erik back. Still, I love Beau very much, and I want him back, too.
But I love the fact that Erik is a reindeer, and I love his sweater he's wearing, and also his eyes. He's adorable, and his house is so cozy as well. I want to get him out of the 16 villager cycle, but there's no villager I want out from my town, so I can't do it. I'll have to survive without him for a while.

Your story of losing Beau was seriously bizarre, never heard of it happening before. Think I'd cry if that happened to me with one of my favourites! I slow cycled for Erik this last time, I let him go initially because I kept missing out on Fauna and she was available...and nobody would ping to move. So when Erik asked I just let him go and used the opportunity to try out other villagers until I could get him back. Gutted to have lost him but I'm glad I've at least got the option of Beau. Deers used to be my favourites too until I got Maple and Stitches, bear cubs will take over my town I think

It's those big eyes that do it for me, they're so innocent. And he seems younger to me that what beau does. I think all the lazy villagers are quite young anyway but Erik is just like a toddler or something

Beau. I've just always automatically had a preference to him, i've never really taken to Erik or thought he was anything special but he seems like an okay villager. He doesn't seem like the type that'd drive me nuts if he moved in. Only thing I dislike about him is his eyes. Other than that he has a really nice aesthetic going on, I actually might consider him at some point. They are kind of abnormally large and that puts me off a little. Beau looks cute, but he's also not a dreamie of mine. I see the appeal of his eyes, they aren't all that detailed, but I see why it's seen as cute.

Beau is okay in my opinion. I just don't prefer him as mucj.
I say if you lean towards Erik more, go with him.

I'd go with Erik, he was my first favorite villager and I think I had him in most towns ever since I had the game before. I like all deer villagers tbh but out of those two Erik for sure. Beau is cute sure but he never really clicked the same way.

Yeah I prefer Erik overall but sadly it's not an option to get him back at the moment haven't got two spaces available to do the cycle so I'm just going to get Beau for now since I love the both was just generally wondering who people prefer since they're both cute lazy deer !

At one point my town was 7 deers and 3 wolves it did get a bit much in the end. They were mostly male villagers too. I do prefer the variety I have now
