My brother was in someones dream world and he found a basket and in the basket there were i think something like seeds or so and you can throw that in your hand on the ground... I was wondering where I could get that and is it good for something?

Are you talking about the Throwing Beans? They're from the Japanese holiday Setsubun. You can read about what the Beans are for in real-life, but in the game past the holiday, you just throw them and you will never run out. You can find them on ReTail/TBT Marketplace, but they tend to go for a pretty penny.
