So I have ideas for every room, except for the basement. I was thinking maybe an arcade?

An arcade would be neat to see! There's the classic arcade machine, tabletop game, and the billiard table as well. A ball catcher and basketball hoop would work for a sports-type game. Or you can put in a bowling alley, with the pins and ball return. The candy machine and the capsule-toy machine would be good additions for the kids. You can have neon signs and LED displays for lighting. If you have an ABD, that'd be perfect for a coin change system. The astro set would be great for seating if you want it. And the donut stool would work well with the aesthetic. Throw in some Nintendo-themed items from the fortune cookies for accent pieces. If you have room, you can make a little ticket counter and have some toys stacked up behind it for prizes. And a colorful wheel for the big prizes, hehe.

If you decide you want something a little different than a game room, you can set up a little DJ and dance floor there too. Amps, microphone- ooh, or maybe a karaoke stage! That might be cute too!

... they need to make rooms bigger now. *nods resolutely*

Arcade is a good idea. A game room in general.

Since it doesn't have windows I know some people do space rooms (like Star Trek etc.) and they can control the lighting of the room since sunlight doesn't mess up the atmosphere.

I personally use mine for displaying villager pics.

I usually like to buy a bunch of crates and barrels and put it down there as if you are actually storing things down there. I also put perfect fruits and other things, I guess kinda like a food storage for your kitchen? I don't know, sounds like a good idea, because, you don't see that in every house you go to right?

How about a King Kong jungle throne room? That's what my basement is
But as for ideas that aren't super weird (like me), I like the thought of a storage room/pantry like Snazzapple suggested. A game room would be good for a basement too, kind of like a man cave (or lady cave).

I have a fun stuff room in my basement! which could be sort of an arcade but I have some of the Mario items in there along the one wall too. have the love tester and Virtual Boy on tables in the middle of the room. something more arcade-like than my basement would be neat to see, I'm sure.
