Balloons got updated too, looks like

I began shooting balloons out of the sky recently, despite not having done so for a year, and was surprised when i got a Milk Case out of one. did it again, and got Ceramic Tile. looks like the update may have added a random element to the balloons instead of just "balloon" items. Im kinda happy about this because the slingshot became so useless once you have a full set

Yes, it can also drop items introduced in HHD.

You can only get the other items once you've catalogued the entire balloon set. But it does appear random. I shoot balloons down all the time and out of every 10 I reckon I only get 1 or 2 non-balloon set items.

I got a metal-wood table today which is a new items and I also got 2 randoms old items, on maybe 6-7 balloons.

i'm really psyched about this part of the update!! after playing for like a week you sort of just let balloons pass you by, so this is a really nice change!

I've always ignored the balloons because I wasn't all that interested in the furniture. I always thought it was ugly.

Looks like I'll have to grab myself a slingshot again soon!

Yeah, the day I updated my game I shot down a balloon and was surprised when it had a piece from the ranch set. So now I'm always going back and forth across my town every ten minutes waiting for balloons to spawn. I've also been lucky and have been getting some of the new update items; the other day I got a desktop mic, and today I got autograph cards, a bamboo fence, and a cypress plant. I still get a lot of the balloon items though.
