Hey, Kit here, my pronouns are they/she. I was originally here back before this forum was in its current version? Apparently all my old posts are gone, so I figured I should re-introduce myself, since it's been literally ages. I started playing animal crossing back on the game cube, and grew up with the series, so it has a pretty important place in my heart. Sadly, not as big of a fan of the current game, because the villagers feel so soulless. I miss my ACNL town... but I'm also bored to tears by the events there. 😂 Oh well. I still love my ACNH island and I love all the updates... I just really wish the villagers didn't repeat the same things constantly.

Anyway, negative stuff aside, my fave character is Tangy, I've had her in p much every game since the game cube. Cherry and Mitzi are close seconds, because their NL iterations were very sweet on each other (despite Julian being an utter creep to both of them) and they're now a couple in my headcanon for my games. My third fave is Tom, who is my adoptive cat dad. I love how much he looks out for me and tries to chase after me to take care of myself (something I'm bad at).

So more about me, I'm a substitute teacher with a psych degree. I'm working towards being a grade school art teacher at the moment, but unsure if that's what I want to do longterm. I'm also a huge nerd who LARPs near every weekend (or did pre-pandemic), and I used to cosplay at anime conventions all the time--less so in recent years (and obviously not at all with quarantine). I'm also a big advocate of mental health, probably obvious from my psych degree. Another thing is that I'm polyamorous and queer as hell. If you don't know what any of that means, you're welcome to ask!

Not sure why I decided to type all this at 4am, but that's just the kind of disaster that I am. Anyway, to bed with me! Hope you all have a good day/night!

Hi Kit :)
I played AC on the DS, a lot. I skipped the ones in between and am now obsessed with NH. I guess you do get attached to villagers from the game you loved. And the new villagers always have to fill their shoes.

Beau is my favourite right now, together with Flora, because they are opposites, but still ditzy. And I love and understand ditzy.

It will be so good to be able to go to conventions again. I never cosplayed, but have respect for people who walk around in those costumes. Well, I did dress up as Spot the Dog once, for a kids book event. I also dressed up as a bear mascot once. All I remember is that even as the dog, little kids aged 5 used to pull my tail and tried to stomp on my feet ... So. Maybe that turned me off from dressing up ...? ;)

Hope to run into you here, and your art. Do post stuff, I am sure there has to be a forum for art things.

I actually wasn't a huge fan of Wild World on the DS, but I'm really glad you liked it! My ex really loved it too as an entry into the series. If you ever feel like it, I would highly recommend trying out New Leaf on the 3DS, as so far it's been the best AC game I've played. New Horizons is a lot of fun tho, and I really love how easy the online play is compared to NL, or especially WW, which had very clunky online play, but really was the birth of the online AC community with trading and whatnot.

Also Beau is a cutie, as is Flora. I always love seeing how different each person's townies become in their games' headcanons.

That's fair! I know people are very rough with mascot costumes, I'm sorry that happened to you! I've had people be rude to me in cosplay, but the majority of people have been very kind and it's been a blast. I will say tho, that if you do cosplay, stay away from the cosplay forums. They get very catty and racist sadly enough.

Aw Thanks! I've seen the forum for art things, I think it's the Museum one? (I want to say "new forum" but it's only new to me, lol) I might open an art thread or something--it's been awhile since I drew commissions or anything, but it is a good way to meet people!

Welcome back to TBT, Kit!
Thank you!!
