AUS 3DS eShop Changing

Hello everybody!
I just swapped my 3DS' eShop to the European one because it's a lot cheaper and also releases a day earlier...
I was told that the funds will not be transferred, but when I changed the regions, I see a screen that says this:

IMPORTANT: New Region Setting
Is the new region setting OK?
Current Region: Australia
Current Balance: $1.50

New Region: United Kingdom
New Balance: ?0.00

Does that mean that it doesn't transfer?

It doesn't transfer, but you get to keep your $1.50 when you switch your region back to Australia.

And by the way, it looks like I'm not the only one that's switching regions to get the game a day earlier for a cheaper price. I switched my e-shop region from New Zealand to Ireland to try to take advantage of the euro.

Is this just a AU/NZ option? But sounds good anyway. I'd do the same if I was there.

Is this just a AU/NZ option? But sounds good anyway. I'd do the same if I was there.

you can change to any region but you can't purchase games as it wont be compatibale with your region.

The only reason you can do it with AUS/EU/NZ is because they're both the PAL region.

Nevermind... I see it's only $2 cheaper...
I would get it since it's a day earlier, but takes too much effort...
And it's on a Friday too...

tbh with time difference AUS gets it pretty much same day as EU,

Yeh, so affectively, AU could get it at midnight which is before our shops even open so AU people may have gotten it before most EU
