You should give him away! To be honest, as cute as he seems, he's not very popular. The list of the most popular villagers would be:

They tend to be most popular, but there are others that often sell for a lot. Mira goes up for a bit recently, as does Zucker and Maple, but Vic is at the bottom of the popularity scale.

Yeah. Auctioning unpopular villagers is just not right. However Popular villagers like the ones the poster above me have are eligible and correct to be auctioned cause many people want them and to settle the problem is to auction or raffle them.
I fully agree with you and your list of the most popular villagers, but this just means that you are likely to get lots of bells for them in an auction. It does not mean, that people with less popular villagers should not auction them, it just means that they have to expect to sell them for much lower prices. I sold 'unpopular' villagers for 100k-500k which is still pretty good and made quite a few people happy because they were looking for those unpopular ones and not the mainstream villagers.
And just for the record: Bulls are great. I have Rodeo and he is totally awesome!
