Are your dream villagers for New Horizons the same as New Leaf?

They're pretty much the same. I have like 30+ dreamies and they're the same dreamies just like in NL

I didn't necessarily plan it that way, but I've ended up with 5 villagers from my NL town (soon to be 6). I can't seem to let go of them, lol. The other 4 will be brand new though.

Initially, I wanted to get as many new villagers as I can (the only ones I like, of course) but as days and weeks go by, I feel like I wanted to get my old villagers back, mostly the ones from my first town in NL so that's what I'm trying to accomplish now. I could say that I'm way past the hype and I only want to keep the ones I'm attached with.

Marshal is the only dreamie that will carry on from my NL town to my current island, and maybe Blaire but i am still not 100% sure about her. I am having fun getting to know new villagers to add to my dreamies list and i might even end up getting some of my current islanders in my NL town too!

I've got mostly different villagers than I did in New Leaf. I'm giving other villagers I like a chance this game, plus in new leaf I had 6 cat villagers. In new horizons I'll probably end up having 6 squirrels, some are ones I wanted in new leaf and didn't get, like Static and Pecan.
The only two from new leaf that I have on my island are Moe and Tom. I really wanted those two back with me.

Mine has definitely changed. I want to meet new villagers. I’ve seen quite a few deers on the mystery island so I grabbed Beau. It’s not the same as in NL.

some of them! julian, chief, punchy, and phoebe are still my top dreamies, but i had to drop others to make room for some new favourites. (sorry lopez... its raymond time )

Not my dreamies but 50% of my roster are from my NL town and NH dreamies.

All I wanted was Marshal in NL. I got Marshal's amiibo so that's nothing to worry about. Raymond though? Oof.
