Please note: I am generally just curious about what other people plan on doing, I am not saying you should TT through all the events, nor am I saying we should debate TTing. Let's all be friendly! :)

So I am dying for the Reese and Cyrus anniversary photos, so tomorrow I am SO tempted to just TT all the way to the Reese and Cyrus pictures and then potentially TT back to experience all the other ones too.. but I don't know. I'm kinda still debating. I do have a little bit of time left, but I was curious on if other people know for sure if they are TTing to a certain event, or are you just going to wait for them as they come out?

I much rather wait to experience them live with everyone else. If you time travel to see them ahead of time, its going to be a boring couple months until the next event.

I think these events are real time based so once again, TTers won't see them first.

Then again, I swore to never time travel, ever. Soooo.....

I don't think that event will be available until June, for the wedding. I think the only thing were getting is Leif and Redd and they'll do the May update for Rover and June update for Cyrus and Reese. There's no way they're doing a maintenance in an hour and make everything available.

I'm a time travelling fiend but I try not to experience events before they naturally occur (eg. I made sure I never accidentally landed on Bunny Day before it actually happened and when I accidentally found a Bug Off I quit the day immediately haha!). I find it more fun that way. With that said, I've no qualms about TTing to accumulate bushes!!! :P

Hmm.. That's a really good point actually.
I hate waiting, to be honest. haha. But it would make the rest of the month a little boring probably.

There is a chance that it's not going to be in the game, I am only operating under the assumption they will. In the video it says coming April 23rd, so I assumed it would be just a mass update and you would have to be on that day to experience, but yeah. There's a chance it won't be an option til real time June anyway.

I went way past Bunny day in the first few weeks of Animal crossing. haha. I actually had to TT back to take part in the event myself.

I rather wait because if I tt, it would become boring because I will have nothing else to do in the event.

You cannot TT to them, Nintendo requires you to connect to the internet in real time when they are available
Once they put them in the game, you can TT to them.
I connected to the internet for the bunny day event and could TT between days for that.
Before the event came out, I had TT'd to April 20th, and just TT'd back to a date in the middle of the bunny day event to activate it for my switch.

Yes and no. Could you TT to Bunny Day on March 20? It was in the game then.

What I said has been confirmed by Nintendo. You're welcome to go to their patch notes and read them yourself. Bunny day was a 2 week event. You didn't do much besides skip to April 12 before us.. No one started Bunny Day event any sooner than others.

I did. I TT'd 1 day back at a time. So I was on bunny day and got the Arch from Zipper before bunny day in real world time because that was the first time I saw him on the island so I talked to him. I also TT'd back AFTER the bunny day event because I missed getting the bunny day basket and I was able to get more eggs and the basket on a day after bunny day because it was still patched in the game. I'd be happy to look at the patch notes, but based on my own personal experiences, you can TT all around the events and it doesn't matter.

Edit: Whoops! Correction, I misread your message. No, on March 20th I couldn't because it wasn't patched in the game. After the patch they did. I think it was 1.1.3, or 1.1.4 you could TT all around that day.

People are saying that the events are server-based and likely you won't be able to time travel to them.

I very much doubt they're going to patch in the event for JUNE at the end of April. The later events are probably not even 100% finished yet.

nah, for me it's fun to experience these events in real time since it's the first year. plus since there's literally nothing to do since it's quarantine and my semester is done i need something to look forward to lol

I'm in the "I never TT" group. I personally love the wait and the anticipation, so I don't want to cheat myself out of anything. I love having to wait real time and then be super excited to turn on my game in the morning.

For me, TTing would be like opening all of your Christmas presents early as a kid and then having nothing left to look forward to on Christmas day.

No, you're missing the point, you were already on Bunny Day, all you did was skip to the end of the event. You didn't skip to it.

Bunny Day was in the game before release, we didn't activate the event util we got version (a)

I like to experience events as other people are experiencing them, I think that makes it more fun! I did TT through the first day of the game, so it's not just because I don't TT. I just think it's nice to experience this type of thing as a community, especially when trading is involved

Right, I corrected my post because I did miss what you said. No, on March 20th I couldn't TT to bunny day. After the patch, I could TT to whatever day I wanted regardless of real world time.
