Do you consider yourself an early bird, a night owl, or does it depend? I thought it would be interesting to see the results in a poll. I am definitely a night owl, and there’s no question about it. I’m wondering how diverse our community is.

I’m a night owl. I like to stay up late and I tend to get up late since I have nowhere to go; will need to change that though. Depression makes it hard though since even if I go to bed early, I can’t get myself to wake up at a normal time.

Depends on the circumstances for me. If I have somewhere to be the next day I will try to sleep and get up early. If I don't, I'll just sleep in. And sometimes I don't sleep at all!

Basically I sleep when I feel like it.

I've had to wake up at super early (sometimes even middle of the night) hours for my work for several years, I think because of that, I can now handle early hours much better. I have no bad moods in the morning, I get straight out of bed, get ready and start the day. For very late nights, I do get sleepy more often (as I get older 😭) and I'm not always in the mood to do very active things late at night, just give me a movie and a couch 😆

100% a night owl. I've tried sleeping earlier. Just does not work. I end up tossing and turning. And I've tried to wake up early but then I just end up taking a long nap in the end which messes the day up. So I've just reserved myself to the night owl life.

I need to sleep 10 hours and am usually awake for 16+ hours. So sometimes I am active/alert at 4am, and sometimes I'm awake like a regular 9-5 office employee. So... neither (or both?) night owl and early bird I guess.

heh, we did this in psychology! (how our internal biological rhythms/body clocks differ). answered some questions and turned out i was the only hummingbird in my class (neither an early bird or a night owl), can (legendarily) fly backwards
what's a humming bird?

I'm a mix of both, it depends on the day. When I have school I tend to be an early bird since I have to wake up early, so I go to sleep on the earlier side (around 10/11pm). Weekends and days I don't have school the next day I usually stay up late depending on if I have something to keep me awake, since I don't have any reason preventing me from sleeping in.

what's a humming bird?

i presume you mean in context - it's someone who's not a night owl or early bird ! presumably inbetween, i haven't looked into much detail about my true self though ;w;

I could never adjust to the early bird lifestyle. I find it interesting how some people can adjust depending on the circumstances. I likely could, but I wouldn’t like it long term.

what's a humming bird?
I’m also wondering what hummingbird is. I’ve never heard of that term. Oh, I see the explanation above. That’s interesting!

I sometimes am an Early Bird, since I tend to play Animal Crossing a lot in the mornings before I start my daily life stuff. So when the new update comes out I am going to set the "Early Bird" Ordinance for my island.

I think I am turning more into a night owl when I am at college, but am an early bird back home so I answered that it depends on the circumstance for me!

I'm an Early Bird... Within reason that is. I naturally wake up around 6:30 am to 7:00 am every morning. I do not want to get up any earlier than that. (I once worked a job that started at 4am. I was downright miserable. That's why I say "Early Bird within reason")

I have always been a night owl. Even in my childhood as early as 5-6 years old, I have memories of sneaking out of bed to read by my nightlight after my parents tucked me in. I have tried, but I can't possibly get to sleep before 1am and even that is pushing it. Most nights I don't fall asleep until after 2 or 3am.

I hit my peak of activity and feel the most energetic between 9pm to midnight. That's when I get the most stuff done, both physically and mentally.

Likewise, I despise mornings. If not for work, I would sleep until 11am or noon every day. I never feel good if I have to wake up before then. Even 10am is too early for me and as far as I'm concerned, anything before 8am shouldn't exist unless I've stayed up that late and am just heading off to bed.

Night owl all the way. I like the idea of being an early bird but my body and brain does not lol. Sleep is just so good! My brain is naturally more active later than earlier.

I used to be a night owl but I've sort of sunk into a comfortable morning routine which is making me enjoy mornings more. Been fostering some kittens so it's been fun checking up on them in the morning and eating breakfast at an appropriate time for once 😂

Lord help me, I TRY to be an early bird. I really do like having early mornings to myself and having a cup of coffee and browsing social media or whatever. But I usually end up falling back into the routine of a night owl. Most of the time it just feels too good to sleep in.;;

Weekdays early bird cause i have to for work lol. Weekends depends sometime I wake up like 8 am sometimes like 9 or past it so yee.

Night Owl for sure. I really like evening and night and I tend to do things then. The only time I am an early bird is if I get to choose an early morning shift for work so I can get it out of the way for the day. Actually I had a job for about 5 years of having to be at work at 4:45 am so I could enjoy my time (though I didn't stay up late, but at least it felt like I did something else beyond just work).
