What are you going to do with this PC?

Could be worthless to you. Depends what you're doing with it.
This.

If you aren't going to be playing high end games on it, it is completely overkill.

Or if you're gonna use it for video editing. Too bad you can't get Final Cut on Windows. (I have to use Adobe Premiere at school...ugh...)

Still overkill.

Not really. Running a good video editing program (not like Movie Maker) demands high specs. That's why I got a MacBook Pro.

high specs =/= macbook

And if you actually knew what you were talking about, you would see the last thing he needs is a 4850.

@OP: PM me what you are going to use this new PC for and I'll help you out with what you should get.

I never said MacBook = high specs. I said that's why I got a MacBook Pro as apposed to a normal MacBook.

Didn't realize that.

I don't know the difference anyways.

Really?

I was just talking to Gabby and she said the only real difference is a bit more memory and a bigger HDD.

Well...I guess you're right. There's not that much difference. But the Pro can have much higher specs than a MacBook, and only the Pro has a FireWire port (another reason why I got the Pro).

Firewire is obsolete.

Apple's failed attempt at USB.

USB > FireWire
Not for capturing video.
