are the colorful tools any better than those craftable?

jw as i just upgraded to the larger nook’s cranny and saw these were now available — is there any real difference other than appearance in relation to those we can craft? i’m assuming golden tools will ofc be better, but as for the regular net/fishing rod/ etc..

Someone here mentioned earlier that they feel like the colorful watering cans have a ton more durability but I'm not 100% sure if that's fact.

I FEEEEEEL like they last longer... but sometimes feelings just turn me into a clown so take that with a grain of salt. If anything they're more fun than the basic ones
