Are Pinsir any good?

In heartgold my team right now is Pinsir, Magmar, Spearow, Gastly, Croconaw, and Flaaffy. Pinsir is the same level as most off them (or a little higher) and it seems to be the weakling of my team. My team is all near the 20s. I'm just wondering, does Pinsir get better? Any suggestions for a new member? I think I'm going to get rid of Pinsir.

Bug Pokemon seems to suck,. Though some like Heracross are good.

I personally only think Pinsir is onlt good for winning the Bug Catching contest

Butterfree, Scizor, Herracross

Pinsir is a good slave early in the game.

Pinsir is pretty useful actually, but only at a later level. A Pinsir in its early levels is horrible, but once it learns good bug moves you're set.

Pinsir is pretty epic on the physical attack front, but besides that it's not amazing.
