Are neighbors in City Folk realistic?

Maybe you saw my thread in the Wild World forum about why you never see them fishing, watering, big catching, etc. Or maybe you didn't, it doesn't matter. Anyway, I learned there that in the original, you COULD see it. I never noticed, but then again, I probably only have about 1 hour of play time logged there... Well, I wondered if it was because it was on a portable console. So it brought up the question, can they in City Folk?

no i dont think they dont...
i think its better tho. cause i remember on the gamecube one it would be the fishing tourney, and they would be like crowding the river so i couldnt get in and fish. lol
