Are money trees still possible?

O: Is this a new rule to New Leaf, or was this the case previously too? ~ I don't think I've managed to grow bells since GC. D: I miss my golden spots.

Yes, they don't regrow when you harvest them. Yes, there's 3 bags of 30k on the tree. No, planting 99k doesn't GUARANTEE you a bell tree.
I needed to grow 6 bell trees, thinking it would only take me 6 bags of 99k. I don 't know if it's just that you can't grow more than two in a day? If I planted 3, the third never grew bags. Could just be unlucky. It ended up taking me about a million to get all my trees.

Well, 1k isn't that difficult to earn. XD; I make around 1 mil a day with the beetles, so I can most certainly afford that, haha. And oooh, golden tools! I have just gotten the third store, so it will be around three weeks until the next shop upgrade and then I need to buy all the fertilizer, so that would take a long time. So I would definitely be interested in some golden tools!I have only some of the silver ones so far, but then again, my town is only three weeks old.

No, planting 99K gives you a 99% chance of blooming a tree! So it is very close to being guaranteed.
And yes, only one can bloom a day so it should only take 600k, having planted 1 a day to grow 6 trees

Don't you mean The Tree Fourms? XD Yeah, looking into it I've planted one but it still didn't grow just like for a couple of days.

In City Folk you could plant 100 coins. I used to use them to test growing spots for trees. But in New Leaf it has to be a Bell bag. 1K is too much to see if a tree will grow now Plant 1 99K bag a day to minimize loss. Also make sure you know a tree will grow in that spot.

Really? I could have sworn I had two bloom, I'm probably misremembering though. I did have the last one that I planted alone not bloom. A 1% chance and it doesn't bloom. My luck x_x
