Archyway Sculpture, yes or no?

I don't even know if this deserves its own thread or not, but I've been grappling with a few things for my town for ages. I rarely ever make my own topics here, unless it is to trade stuff at Retail. So sorry if this is just another clutter topic and waste of space.

I'd say my town is in its final stages where it would be complete for a DA, but there's still some things I keep coming back whether to tweak or find something new to add that I think is cool. Which brings me to my question...

What is everyone's opinion on the archway sculpture? I have it in my town. It was one of my first pwps I added when villager's started suggesting things. It leads into a very cool garden oasis (like the entrance to the main attraction) and I half put it where it is cause I sorta liked it and also to stop stupid villagers from plotting wherever they wanted to. (Now with plot resetting complete for my ten villagers and WA being a godsend, that issue doesn't apply anymore)

I personally don't like it, but it could fit in, with the right landscaping.

I had it built once, but couldn't do a thing with it.

Yeah like Jon said with the right landscaping it could look great in a town. I just personally wouldn't put it in my town.

Definitely would look cool in some towns. My town's theme doesn't match it.

Heh,yeah....that's the one.The first time I saw one in a Dream Suite visit I thought it looked like somebody dropped a giant molar in their town.

I've never really liked it.I'd rather have a wisteria trellis as an entryway sort of PWP.

I?ve always wanted someone to hack a bunch of archways into a smile shape.

And have the hippos.... especially Bertha.

I?ve only had the Archway Sculpture in one town. It does seem rather large.
And it is quite beige - in Pixel my paths are grayish white. So it clashes.

I love seeing it during hide and seek either in town or on the island

I have Moe. I don't recall ever seeing that chair in there. He has a few things of the stripe set, pretty sure the hospital screen, the eye test, maybe the skeleton and anatomical model.

Yeahhhh, not Archway sculptures number 1 fan. But I'd take 50 of them over one of those Chair Sculptures. What is it a boot? I hate it. I'm not really big onto most of the modern feeling PWPs. But in a modern town they look pretty good usually. Except you boot chair.

Haha thanks guys, yeah it seems not a lot of people (and anyone here) like the archway sculpture. Everyone is saying it works well with certain themes, but what themes are those lol? I was debating whether to demolish it or not and replace it with another pwp, but I wanted to see what others thought before.

I have it in two towns, but that's all. I'm not a big fan of it. The giant 'toothiness' of it simply unnerves me.

If you want to see it used, check out Maplerow at 4C00-00AC-75E0. I think any public work can be used with the right landscaping and town theme. And since it is lesser used, it could be unique. But I understand using some to take up space for villager plot resetting, I did that too with the fence then deleted it. If you want you could share a pic of how yours is used for further advice

I don't normally like the archway sculpture but I wanted to put together a little outdoor gallery / arts district to lead up to the theatre/ concert hall that I'm building one of my alts houses into. It actually looks pretty good (alongside the "chair" sculpture which is another potential eyesore in my opinion) in that setting, though if there was another sculpture half as cool as the cube sculpture then I may not have found space for the archway sculpture after all...
