AP Exam Failed to Submit

Hello everyone, i took the AP Physics 1 exam today and I was so nervous and stressed out about it because I have not been very good with the material all year. As I was taking the test, however, a lot of this anxiety and stress was going away and I felt pretty good about my answers and whatnot. I was able to submit question 1 with no problems, but as I was trying to submit question 2 it wouldn't submit. I tried submitting a text file, and nothing. Copy and paste? Nothing, and I'm honestly devastated :/ I worked so hard to study for this and to hopefully pass, and I felt confident with my answers and now I have to retake the exam even though I finished the whole thing :c

Did anyone else experience this? I know a very small percentage experienced technical difficulties, so I guess I would like to hear your guy's thoughts

I can’t help because I took AP exams on paper 12 years ago lol but the good thing is you know you can do it now. It sticks to retake it but you’ve got this...again!

Ahh thank you for your support! I'm just really disappointed that everything was going fine until the last 5-6 minutes and there was nothing I could do about it :/

I'm also worried because i have 2 more coming up in the next week and I really don't want to take them all and have the same thing happen and have to retake all 3 ;_;

Good luck on the retake!

The only AP exams I've taken were one and done upload or pencil and paper, but maybe you could try contacting collegeboard and let them know the issue? Even if they can't do anything, it could be a good idea to report it so that they can look into the issue to keep it from happening to others.

It could also help to save everything as you go on a separate document if you can in case that happens, that's what we were told to do with our finals.

I had to fill out the retake form which completely voids the test you submitted, so there's nothing I can really do about that at this point. Even if I wanted to email them the second question there's no way they would accept it. In the retake ticket I explained what happened but frankly I don't think they care that much :/

Also, I had everything on a separate document and I was able to attach the file to submit it, but when I clicked the submit button it did nothing. I also tried the copy and paste method, which did the exact same thing with the submit button. And I was able to submit the first question just fine, so I don't think it was a problem on my end

i haven’t taken ap exams in a while, but after i read this thread i just saw a tiktok about this (lol) and i thought of you. they had an issue submitting the second question of the ap physics exam too. so it definitely wasn’t a you issue.

Ahh haha! It's really frustrating because apparently 1% of testers had an issue and I got to be part of that lucky 1%! I still have two more and I'm hoping that I don't have any issues going forward because it has been very mentally draining for me to panic about it before the test starts, think I'm doing good on the test, completely finish the entire thing with plenty of time to spare, only to then be met with a submit button that will not submit it QoQ Anyway, on the bright side, I get to study a bit more before my retake :|

I don’t think I did any of it currently as I was horrible with the material and my teacher wasn’t the best, as he was teaching the subject at a really fast pace >•> I was able to turn it in and just submit whatever I had right when the 5 minute motif turned on because I know what everyone starts submitting at the last minute so it’s more likely to have issues. I really do hope the best of luck for you on the retake because alooooot of people I know had issues with it!

Not that it matters anymore Also, apparently if you re-clicked on your exam ticket, it fixed it so now i feel stupid for not doing that, but oh well I guess. Anyway, I had my APUSH one today and it wasn't too bad... I was able to submit so xD

I feel you with the bad teacher though ;n; I don't know if my teacher was bad, but for sure no one understand what she was doing ;V Physics I think is commonly poorly taught, possibly because it can be difficult to make interesting? Also, it's kinda hard

Yeah, I used Crash Course as a way to help me. I feel like Physics is one of those things I might have to do at a slow pace in order to understand it, cuz having to cram 8 or 9 units in the span of 4 months probably isn’t the best lol.

Was it online this year because of coronavirus or has it been online for a while and I just didn't know? I'm so sorry that happened to you! Good thing they know it wasn't your fault and they're letting you take a retest. Good luck! Use this time to go over the material once more and go in knowing the test won't be so bad! Back in my day, it was all paper testing in a freezing cold, silent room where all you could hear was the scratching of pencils and the ticking of the clock. Good luck and I wish you the best! You'll be fine!
