Anyway to make villagers stop talking about "so-so from so-so"?

So-so being any mayor name and the other So-so being a town name.

I love letting people get signatures, but as I only use my main town for this, it gets annoying when trying to find out if someone is moving only to hear "I recently talked to [Mayor Name] from [Town Name]! They gave me this vibe of a real Civic Leader!"

I don't think there is a way. I've let people get signatures from my second town but they've never talked about them. Villagers usually talk about their old mayor/town or they talk about a mayor that talked to them when they came over to your town to visit and such. The only thing I find annoying is when they play their old town tune. Like I don't care.

It's cute the first few times (the town tune) but then it's like "omg, I get you. You woek up with your old town's tune in your head."

I wish there was. At least once a day my villagers tell me about some random person I don't know who probably came to my town to trade one time. Like, I don't really care if you though Claire from Nicetown (or wherever) is a green thumb lol

Nope. Unfortunately. I let some in for signatures in June of last year, haven't played with that person since, they still talk about the "new face"- like we all weren't that when we started!

Ugh, most of my villagers are adopted from other people so I have to deal with that every single day. I wish I could make it stop.

My friend says her one villager talks about me all the time. I think it's kind of cute tbh

The only way is to not let anyone else visit your town (or dream town). And don't adopt villagers from other towns. Otherwise... nope

They talk about anyone who came over, even if it was just for a trade and that person didn't actually talk to any villagers.

Kind of annoying, but it could be worse. At least they don't sing the town tunes of the people who've visited you. I would close my gates forever -.-

//sigh I wish I knew a way. It gets a bit annoying sometimes :\ when I made my second town (which will become my new main town), I plan to not have anyone come and get signatures or talk to my animals, to keep that from happening. But it might happen if I adopt a villager from someone. Ugh...

it's specially funny when they talk about their old town and you know it was a cycling town full of weeds and 0 development and they are all nostalgic about it
