Then do it today. I raise about $90k easily in one day. It's really not that difficult once you get the hang of things.
I believe you will have time before Nook homes closes! And in an hour you can make about 500-600k even if you go slowly.

Another way to get huge amounts of money is planting lots of perfect fruits and selling them in other towns. Once you have enough planted you will get lots of fruit every day and you can save it up. Sell it at another town (preferably one with the bell boom ordinance) and an inventory full will get you about 400 000 +. If you plant enough you'll be able to get that amount of bells every few days, just stock up on axes and be ready to replant when they die.
You can also sell things for pretty high in your flea market at Re-Tail's. And to force them to buy more reliably, just save and quit each time a villager buys something. You can only make up to 9999 on each sale, and depends on what the item is worth. A general rule is to always sell the item at least one bell less than what Retail would normally pay you for it x4.
So if you are selling say 5 foreign fruit to re-tail, normally that would come to 2500. x4 is 10000, so you can sell them for 9999 and villagers should buy them if you push them towards it. Unless the neighbor doesn't know/like you too well, I've seen them turn down reasonably priced stuff in the past.
