so my first 360 game is Skate. It's not exactly the most popular game on the 360, but it's actually really good... I love the controls.

I'll be getting Xbox Live pretty soon, and I was wondering if anyone else has Skate. If you do, it would be cool to play a bit online.

lol, it takes practice, I just love how realistic it is. THPS was always disgustingly over-the-top lol, a nice skate sim is really refreshing for me

Yeah, doing combos of 75 tricks... pfft...
the crazy combos and everything were fun, but didn't really capture what skateboarding really is.

Then Bam Margera basically killed the series. Basically took away most of the skateboarding element, and instead promoted his show =/

Exactly, but I don't really like skating games anymore.

there's one thing I don't really like about skate... As the ign dude said, the controls are almost revolutionary, but the problem is the game wrapped around it.

the career mode isn't that great. BUT I've gone for like 3 hours of just skating around the city, and it's extremely fun. I just love the controls. It makes me never want to go back to just pressing a button and a direction to do a move lol

I played the demo when it came out, and I like it a lot.

I wish I had bought that instead of RSV2....

yeah, one time my brother came home from college, and his gf brought her 360... I was so addicted to that demo. I played it over and over again for hours.

If I remember correctly the demo had a time limit like you'd find in stores....
