anyone knows how to fix this?

(not sure where to post this exactly so i’ll do it here)
I’ve been trying to play with a friend for a while now but every time we try to go to each other’s towns we get this message

he said he has played with other people before and so have I, it just doesn’t work specifically when we try to visit each other.
Does anyone know if theres a way to fix this?

This error is directly related to a wifi issue, see if this thread helps.

Hopefully this is the right place to post this... Lately it's impossible for me to connect to other people towns, and everytime I get the error 018-0516 What I can do: - Use the browser - Use Miiverse - See which friends are connected - Talk to Porter, select to visit/have people over, connect...
