I am not sure if this is the right place for this but I thought it might fit here. I went to play Animal Crossing tonight and noticed something is wrong with my back right button. It doesn't seem to be working very well. It was working fine this morning. You have to push really hard to get it to work. I have emailed Nintendo about it and I am awaiting response. I am very good with my 3DS. It has fallen 2 times but it was only from less than 2 ft (coffee table) I only playing crossing and use the button for running around. I don't abuse the button. I have trouble using the left button because I severed the nerves in that finger in an accident. So I just wanted to see if anyone had this problem and what they would recommend. My 3DS is brand new I only bought New Sept 13. My daughter plays but is supervised. Plus she has a DSI that is still in great working condition and I bought it about 2 years ago. If I did put this in the wrong spot I am sorry. Thank you very much.

Which type of 3DS is it? Aka model?

Since it's brand new I doubt it's broken, but there could be dirt in there such as crumbs or a hair. The internet suggests to use a toothbrush around the R-button area, to clean what ever might be stuck inside I guess. Other than that I don't quite know.

I will try this tomorrow morning. The button doesn't have the same snapping type feeling when pushing the button. Thank you very much.

I meant like is it a special edition or bundle? I know there's been certain issues with certain 3DS/XLs'

Sometimes both my buttons never work at all, but I've taken good care of my 3Ds. I doubt it's because of age since your XL is new, so something might be stuck under there.

Very likely. I know my didn't work well after carrying it around in my pockets and backpack after a while, so it may be in your best interest to get a carrying case or one of Club Nintendo's cloth pouches to lug it around in and keep it dirt/lint free.
