Pokémon Anyone experiencing this with obtaining Diancie?

My brother just redeemed his code. Everything was going well until he tried to get Diancie from the Pokemon Center. None of the IVs of his Diancie are guaranteed to be perfect. Diancie is supposed to have 3 perfect IVs when you receive it. This was the case even in earlier releases like Japan. Has this ever happened to anyone? And has anyone fixed this?

My brother did in fact encounter this problem. He had the IVs checked by the IV judge in Kiloude and it did not have any perfect IVs. I personally checked it with an IV calculator, then there was no perfect IV. Diancie is really supposed to have at least 3 perfect IVs. I can confidently say that from my personal experience.

WELL THEN YOU JUST GOT LUCKY. my diancie only has 1 perfect IV. all legendaries CAUGHT IN GAME starting 6th gen has at least 3 perfect IVs.

This is a pretty common glitch, actually.

I hope you soft resetted for a better one, as far as I can tell, these glitched Diancies with less than 3 perfect IVs are marked as a 'hack' and won't go into the pokebank, which means you won't get it in OR/AS until GF "patches" the issue somehow.

Might wanna double check. :v

That's strange, I haven't heard of this either. I'll have to check my Japanese Diancie soon and see what IVs it has (why haven't I checked this yet?). I'm getting another Diance soon from a code. I wonder what IVs that Diance will get me then.

While it's good to know they can still go into the Bank (as if that was actually any good at detecting hacks in the first place, seeing as it took my level 1 Aggron), all legendaries that cannot breed are guaranteed 3 perfect IVs. There's no exceptions; it's still a glitch.

I soft resetted for mine about 20 or 30 times and consistently got 3 perfect IVs. The problem is that not everyone does. I've known people to get 3+ consistent perfect IVs on one game cart and then totally random results on their other game.

Some codes just seem to generate totally random Diancies. :v


And as of right now, they're GTS blocked because of their event ribbon. No wifi trades and no online battles. So we don't really know for sure if these things will be fixed in ORAS. Maybe those Diancie will be considered hacks and won't trade, or maybe GF will either patch it or re-release her.

But it still safe to say that she's was intended to have 3 perfect IVs. There's no reason that they wouldn't have, unless she can make little Carbinks. :v

Then do you happen to have an example of an event legendary that did not have 3 perfect IVs?

i dont have any non 3 IV events because mine are hacked. i doubt that a lv. 100 shiny 6iv shaymin and -- that. bug one. the steel bug. I FORGOT ITS NAME. -- are legit.

Yes, but as far as everyone knows, this event is an anomaly. That's all I was trying to get across, lol.

And as far as most of us are concerned, GF had intended for Diancie to have 3 perfect IVs, which would explain why so many of us consistently got 3 or more. Not a single one of my soft resets resulted in less than 3 IVs, and I spent hours on it trying to get a Brave one.

Plenty of people got crap ones, but we don't think it was intended as it's never happened before. :v

Genesect and when I got my diancie it had 3ivs I soft reseted to and it still had 3ivs

I heard about this IV issue too. Someone on another forum suggested that it depends on what server the Diancie is downloaded from. So if that's the case, it could be a glitch on the server itself, then. Or made to be that way on purpose in order to increase variety. I don't really know.

I got an European Diancie code and redeemed it a couple of days ago. Every time I soft reset/received it it had 3 IVs of 31. Ended up settling for a Timid one with 31/0/30/14/31/31. Its Sp. Attack isn't great but whatever. I'm probably never gonna use it competitively anyway and I don't like mixed attackers.

YOU GUYS ARE SO LUCKY UGH. my diancie has 1 iv (sp.def). my japanese one has three (atk, sp.def, spd) but its lax. my english one is quiet.

I didn't know you could soft reset it because I have been too scared with codes to even try it. oo;

I just wanted to add that it was such a huge PAIN to do it with Diancie. So much dialogue. That's why it took so long and I just eventually gave up for an "okay" one, lol. Settled for a Lonely with perfect HP, Attack, and Sp. Attack.


I did get a Brave one, with perfect Attack, Sp. Attack, and Sp. Def, but its Speed was a 0 and I didn't want to have to rely entirely on Trick Room. Probably going to have to, anyway, its speed absolutely sucks.

Also I checked my Japanese Diancie, it has 3IVs... perhaps it is the server, IDK.
