Anyone else scared to open up ther acnl game?

So i haven?t played acnl for about 6 months now and i don?t want to start it up as i?m scared my villagers have moved out and i know my town isn?t perfect anymore. i?m just gonna wait for ac switch and start fresh : p

i don’t actually know when i stopped playing but i know it was a while ago, and yeah i might start it up but i left my town perfect and the way i wanted it as i was kind of finished with my town in a way? like it was done if you know what i mean

You can always get onto the calendar journal thing and figure out the exact day you last played. Unless you don't want to do that (shouldn't take too much time)

If you know the month, pick a random day and you can join with a "new character" and see if all is right.
Repeat until you are in the right day.

With this trick, i made a TT of 4 years in a day.
My date was the 29 Ago 2014, after I have stopped a villager from moved, I've set up the current date (2018), made a "new character" for a test, and all my villagers were still there.

I hope I was clear, im not English native.

There's a way to make sure nothing goes wrong <3
Who moves is determined when you start the game. Create a new character and check your town. If someone you love has moved, turn off and make a new character again and the results should be different. Save once everyone is accounted for, move out the new character and viola You should be good to go!

like RooftopsRevolution said, if you make a new character and go in it won't save so you can see if everyone is still there, if everything is fine you have to save the new character. if someone is gone I think you can keep making new characters (like plot resetting) and see if they come back.
or if you know around what month it was when you stopped you can go to any day or month (or year if you want) before that and continue just fine, bc timeskipping any amount backwards only counts as one day forward from the last time you saved!
