All the possible in-game rupee colors we can get refurbished from Cyrus, plus the original rupee color, all match up with the different color ores we can get from ore rocks? Makes me wonder if ReTail has a little extra source of income going on the rest of the town doesn't know about

I think you're overthinking this juuuust a little, lol. It's just minor detail.

Lol, yeah that is funny. Makes you wonder... my daughter and I once made up this entire backstory for Reese and Cyrus, how they met, how her father didn't approve because Cy-Guy is older and a bit anti-social but Reese is so warm-hearted and sweet, seeing in him what no one else did and encouraging him to pursue their dream of opening a shop. Ah, sweet romance :)

But can we reeeaaaally be sure of that XD. I mean, the variations include the basic green rupee (emerald), blue (sapphire), red (ruby), purple (amethyst), silver (silver nugget) and gold-colored Big Rupee (gold nugget). And yet in multiple Legend of Zelda games, rupees can also come in yellow and orange, yet those aren't options when asking Cyrus to customize them. And it happens that there are no ores of those colors in game.

Overthinking? Maybe, but the available evidence fails to dismiss my theory lol. And even if I'm wrong, half the fun of gaming is coming up with stuff like this
