I wish there was a happy medium between NH's handling of flowers and NL's, like an ordinance that was on by default but toggle-able or something. I actually reset my island in the beginning of May because I'd spent most of my time until then TTing villagers in and out to help others find their dreamies, and in the process, flowers completely overran my island. It got to the point where the thought of having to dig each plant up was so overwhelming to me that it was ultimately easier to just start over than it would've been to try and make sales or even just throw them away.
I'm glad running through them doesn't destroy them completely anymore, and that I don't have to water them every day, but I wish we had the option to at least move them en masse.
I can't say I miss it. I keep a lot of flowers, and in previous games I'd have to take an hour or so every other day to water all of the plants, even if I wasn't in the mood to play the game. Having to just water the flowers I'm breeding and everything else staying alive permanently is a huge convenience for me!
I... Forgot about this! But I have noticed that my flowers don't feel like they need tending, and feel more like props or decor.
It's nice to not have ANOTHER chore, but, is maybe a little too static and perfect.
No! I hated having to worry about watering my hybrids all the time in CF. In NL, I always had it set to ’beautiful town ordinance’ so I didn’t have to worry. I generally think they made flowers more realistic in this game, starting as buds and allowing stems to be plucked.
Nope. I'm glad it wasn't brought back otherwise it would be tedious watering wilted flowers all day, and I have them all over my island. Picking up the flowers is a different story for another time...
I'm happy that flowers don't wilt. It'll really be frustrating when you neglect hybrids. But I don't like that they spread like weeds either. There really should be a way to remove them easily.
I miss it though, I was thinking about it the other day too. I had my friend come over and help me clean up flowers because my island was 70% flowers after some time traveling.

They were a pain to keep up in WW and CF. Though I wouldn't mind having to enact an ordinance for it. I would love for it to get rid of trash as well. I miss not having to catch trash 75% of my "fishing" in NL.
I surprisingly miss flower wilting. When I knew I wasn't going to be playing daily in NL, I would put on the beautiful town ordinance to not worry about the flowers. I miss running around and checking on my flowers for any wilted ones and watering them to revive them.
Ever since I had the beautiful town ordinance in my New Leaf town, I forgot about flower wilting altogether. I'm very happy they don't wilt in this game and kinda forgot that wilting exists.
That sounds like a great idea! Maybe it’s just because for me it seems to rain much more in this game because it would only rain once a week in nl and it rains every day for me in nh
I don’t, its easy enough to throw flowers away or sell them. I have 3 diff trash cans on diff parts of my island for easy access. It feels nice that when I inevitably take a day or two off I don’t have freak out over my hard to get hybrids disappearing. Its also a relief the two times that I ran over a flower that they aren’t gone for good.
i kinda do, but i dont mind that its not back. i'll still water my flower regardless bc its a nice lil task. i cant think of a way it could be implemented back into the game where everyone is happy with it.
