Heyo! I've seen a lot of terrible things about CT and I just wanna say something that someone did a while ago that made me really happy as a younger child.

It was 2014. Club Tortimer. This random girl connected - dunno her name. She said, "hi". I replied with the same. She came to where I was and she just said, "here you go!" and she dropped a crown. A CROWN. I picked it up and immediately put it on. It made me so happy. I thanked her and she said, "you're welcome!". she left the island and I went back to my town, shiny crown in hand.

What are your happy CT stories?

i made some cool friends way back in 2015. they were so sweet! but i reset my town, and had got a new 3ds as well so i lost their fcs so i dont know where they are now :(

You know, people will always dwell the negative element of things and it just take a few loud, allbeit, very, very small minority of persons to bathe something in bad light.
I've been playing new leaf for almost 3 years, I've been to CT probably 1000 times and I've never met a malicious hacker, ever.

But then again, I just might be plain lucky. ';]

I've had hackers on CT give me Tool sets and regional furniture, flowers and gracie items, bush and tree start, all sorts of stuff!
Before I found the forums, I would hope to find a hacker on CT!
I had a few friends from CT too, we'd always seem to be on around the same time, Mayor Princess of Castlevil, Mayor Robin of Poppy, etc, I lost contact when I switched from my 3ds to my new 2ds. :[
I really miss hanging out with them on the islands, they were so nice.

ive literally never had a bad experience on club tortimer. ever.
used it so many times, and ive literally never met an unfriendly person. sure, there were some people who just ignored you or begged for bells before even trying to strike a proper conversation, but those are so trivial, it didnt bother me.
this isnt my account, but back when i had no WA stuff at all, some people just dropped their npc clothes or whatnot (i didnt ask, they just did it anyway). idk if it was because i looked like a noob, or they were just feeling generous lol
generally i think ct is pretty neat, the only annoying thing is when im hunting for island stuff and i FINALLY find what i want, only to have a connection error and be forced to leave. yikes.

yup! on one evening, i went to the north american island. i met three girls who were so awesome! we exchanged friend codes and played in each others town. very fun!

I've had mixed experiences on Club Tortimer. Nice people, rude people, malicious people, fun people, annoying people. Just about everything.
I'm usually having a good time if I'm laughing (in real life). Obviously being given free stuff is fun too, but I'm not a beggar.
I don't share my friend code with anyone there, but some of the regular visitors (from this year) have started to recognize me, which I guess is close to being friends. For some reason I also enjoy trying to see if anyone recognizes me if I go back as a different player.

It's hard for me to remember specific fun times I had due to how many times I went to the island.

The only good experience I've had (I've had my town since November) is meeting a Japanese girl who knew little English and I don't know any Japanese aside from anime stuff (sugoi, kawaii, etc.), but we managed to talk a little bit using google translate and did a tour together. I told her her mayor was kawaii and she said thanks! It was fun and I should've gotten her FC or friended her.

(I see a fellow fan of Jirachi & Kirby above me, hihi!)

EDIT:
I feel like I should say I haven't had any bad experiences, just someone asking something political that I ignored. I realize now my phrasing makes it seems as though I've only had bad experiences which isn't true, just not anything remarkable aside from that sweet girl, whoops. ;w;'

I used to get idiots who loves to ask for bells, all because I have the gold badge. I said "I worked hard at this, collecting bugs from my own little island."

He/She said, "But collecting bells like that is too hard." and I pull a face and I said, "If this game is too difficult for you, then you shouldn't play it. It's not a complex game."

They still asked for bells so I tricked them. I put the bells on the ground and then I turned my wifi off and then on again so I didn't have to lose game progress. I only use Club Tortimer to find rare items and to do island tours, so I know I shouldn't catch bugs thanks to a lot of people in-real-life telling me.

And then I found a way where I am most comfortable with. When I have completely got all the Club tortimer items, I will share to you guys on how to not get harrassed. But be warned, once I put it out in public, the stupid idiots that ruin everything will see this too.

Most of my visits to CT have been good.

Favorite was when I was island hopping for a sandcastle. It was the last CT item to complete the collection. A Japan player asked if I would do some tours. Said yes and we had a blast earning medals. The player went outside and dropped a item on the ground. It was the sandcastle that I needed to complete my collection. I tried to give bells but the player said it was a thank you for playing tours with them. It's in my island museum room and still remember that day.

One winter an extra player went to CT and had a blast touring with other players. They got me to try different tours that I wasn't good at. With the bonus medals and having a blast the player completed her silver/gold badge in the Spring.

Before the update players taught us how to swim in the water without a wet suit and how to sit on a stump with another player. I was able to get on top of the hut and jump into the water. Sitting on the stump with another player was funny.

I miss seeing the regular CT players. We spent the evening talking about our day and ACNL progress. Everyone helped each over out.

I’ve had a few. The main one is someone who I hit it off with well and visited their town. But sadly I haven’t used Club Tortimer often.

A few years ago, I went on an international island. I met this one person but I forgot her name. She's from Germany and her town name is Munich. She only understands very little english and doesn't speak often. When I try to say something to her, she would try to respond with her broken english and spelling (which I can sort of make out). This person said "jes" a few times when I think she was trying to say "yes". Anyways, we went on a few tours together for fun. After that, we had a conversation that lasted for quite some time. I felt that she was a kind person so before I left the island, I gave her the blue wrestling shoes as a memorabilia. I thinkk she gave me a seashell in return but I forgot to put it in the basket before leaving. I also took note of her dream address on her TPC. I went back to my hometown. A few days later, I went to visit her dream address. After going into her house and then upstairs, the room was filled with pink furniture. But then I saw the blue wrestling shoes by the window. When seeing that, it really touched my heart and made me smile to see that she has something to remember by. I don't know what it is like now but I hope she won't forget the experience that we had together when looking at those shoes. :)

That's really sweet! I've actually had a similar experience, except this girl was from an English speaking country. Cannot remember which country, her name or hometown, but I do remember getting her dream address. The reason why I have forgotten her is because of the Welcome Amiibo update, but it's okay now.

My good experience in CT lead me here, I met a player at CT a while ago and we became nice acnl friend, we play a lot together, she introduce me to her acnl friends, she is in my bff list, and of course she is the one who told me to register on this forum

The first time I visited was back when the game first came out. I meet someone that gave me the hair bow wig! I was very far off from being able to get it on my own.

a few days ago, someone in CT international gave away over 1mill bells! I got like 1mil bells from the person. I asked if the money was hacked or not and the person said no.
either way is it possible for hacked money to corrupt your town?

I?ve had more good experiences than bad! Lots of friendly people that want to chat and help me out with things really. I?d say a majority of the people I?ve met on club tortimer are nice. Theres not really an instance where someone did anything reaallly nice for me that stands out, but I know most people have been positive. There?s only been a couple times with annoying people attacking me with the net, or typing profanities over and over, which I just leave right away.

I have met tons of good friends, but half of the time, they did know their fc, so that was one thing that made me sad at times, but every trip was worth it! I had run by into hackers, or people who act flirty around me, and it made me uncomfortable so I ended up leaving.

Befriending a girl who had the same birthday as me: we talked for an hour or two before she had to leave.
Or meeting a japanese kid who didn't speak English very well but became my friend anyway. I remember that she liked spaghetti.
