Like PLEASE just let me have it as a wand outfit! I barely have enough space in my pockets as is because half of it is taken up by tools and resources!

The wetsuit isn't even counted as clothes apparently. It is never in my closet. I'm not mad, I'm just annoyed. Why did they not make it a clothing item? That would've been so much easier wouldn't it? Now I either have to wear it under my wand outfits or leave it at my pier. I guess that latter idea wouldn't hurt, but I still wuld prefer it to just be a clothing item itself.

I'm sorry I just needed to vent. Does anybody wish they had done it differently or is it just me?

EDIT:
Ok I might of overreacted a little bit about the wetsuit, I apologize. I was just annoyed about it at the time.

It was classified as a tool in NL so I'm not shocked by the fact that it works the same way in NH. That said, we already have more tools in our inventories due to the pole, ladder and having dupes of the others since they break so it would have been nice to not have yet another tool hogging up space in your inventory.

I could've sworn it was clothes in new leaf. Guess that's what I get for not playing in awhile lol. Maybe I shouldn't of ranted that much. <:3

But yeah it would've been nice to not have another pocket space taken up.

Hmmm, maybe I'm the one that's wrong lol. It's been a while since I last played so sorry if that's the case!!

You can cut down on needing dupes of tools in your inventory! You can restore durability by customizing them with kits!

I'm sure this wont help for axes and the static ladder/pole duo but for,
Fishing Poles, Shovels, Bug Nets & Watering Cans, it makes it so much less cluttered. I usually just change the paint on each when I change my clothes to make a matching set~

It wasnt counted as clothes in New Leaf either. It's bought in the Nook's store, so yeah its a wearable tool basically, like the umbrellas. If it's a problem in your inventory why not leave it on the beach where you dive off from?

You can always just wear the wetsuit as your default outfit and then set up other outfits on a wand. Then, take off the wand outfit and boom, you're in a wetsuit. Anyway, I don't hate how Nintendo set up wetsuits so much as I don't fully understand it. It's a scripted item- so it is definitely a tool, but to make it "immersive" it looks like clothing...kind of?

I'm likely going to do what someone else mentioned here and leave it at the pier for when I want or need it. It might be a hassle to have to go pick it up every time I wanna go in the ocean, but I would rather not have to carry it all the time :P

I mean, I'm not shocked, but I do wish they'd let us put it as a wand outfit. This feels like THE ONE time I'd be happy to have the clothes locked to the wand since it wouldn't take up inventory space, but oh well.

But, again, it was a tool in NL so I expected this... but I was still hoping they'd update it to work with the wand

The loss of another inventory space is a bit annoying, but only thing I don't really like about the wetsuit is that it doesn't hide your shoes, socks, or bag. Pretty funny to swim with boots on... maybe that's why I swim so slow. 😉

It would be nice if the tool ring would actually hold your tools, including the wetsuit.
