Any way to get PWP recommendations?

My villagers clearly hate me with a passion...

They REFUSE to do anything except ask me for exceedingly rare butterflies and bugs.

I can't make any works projects like this! I want flowery arch-ways and fountains and hedges and the like, but I'm stuck with having to work with basically next to nothing.

Is there a way to make my villagers smarter or more creative and GIVE ME THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS!?

That sounds really frustrating. I'm not sure if there's any way to make villagers specifically ask for PWPs when they ping you. Maybe some more experienced people know?

[sub]if you weren't already, you should do the diving trick. you don't always get pwps, but i've found that it's more helpful than just waiting for a villager to rec a pwp.

also keep in mind that certain pwps are recommended only by certain villager types. if you're looking for a certain pwp, look up which type of villager recommends it. then, if you want, you can trap that villager by digging holes around them, so when you get done with diving you can go straight to them, lol.

I seem to always get a pwp suggestion if I change something on the outside of my house like a fence or mailbox. It has worked whether I change my mayor's house or my other character's house. It is strange.

im not into the pwps much so i havent sunk a ton of time into it, but the diving trick does seem to work (or you get lots of requests about catchphrases and greetings...) like im sure the linked guide probably says, it helps if you have no currency and have your pockets full of stuff they cant buy or trade for like tools and flowers.

Was going to say something along those lines. Just put holes around certain villagers for certain pwps. Dive into the bottom left or right of the map or whatever corner is closest, and wait 5-6 minutes. You could also buy a timer to keep track of time if that helps you.
