Any suggestions?

I've ran out of things to do on the internet recently and I'm looking for a cool game to play online (preferably free) I really loved to play habbo hotel when i was younger but thats gone to hell now ;__; I really enjoy Elder Scrolls Online, too but I can't afford it anymore. Two completely different online games but yeah, does anyone have any suggestions for similar things that are easy to get into?

I also really, really, really love being able to make my own character and I really hate games where you have a set character D:

Heard Path of Exile seems pretty good in terms of skill customization. I tried and really liked Maplestory but it doesn't let you edit your characters that much in terms of design, but there are a lot of armours.
I also heard Mabinoggi let's you do what you want in terms of jobs and specializations but never tried.
