Any consequences from setting time backwards?

Hey guys,

So basically, I haven't played this game since September, but I wanna play again. However, I don't wanna miss out on all the bugs and fish that appeared in the past few months. So, I thought if I set my time back to September and time travelled day-to-day, I could get all of the stuff I wanted. But, I don't know if there are any major consequences to doing this. Does anyone know if there are? Thanks in advance!

There really isn't. Villagers won't move out, flowers won't wilt, nothing will change, really.

I hear people say all the time that no matter how far in time you go back, it always counts as just 1 day.

Pretty sure the only things are that turnips will rot, bingo cards expire, and snowmen disappear.

There will be no consequences... Lets say you last visited your town on sept 19th. If you set your time to sept 20th today and log in, as far as your town and villagers are concerned, you havnt been gone at all. Its just the next day. You will just be a bit behind in "real" time, but thats okay. A lot of people are eithe behind real time or way ahead.

Exactly what VioletsTown says. Check your activity log on the 3DS to see when you last played, load up your game and tell Isabelle you need to fix the date to the following day. You won't have actually gone backwards as far as the game is concerned.
