Aw, here it goes!

As I started my game today, it was nice and sunny. Which only meant one thing: a full day of flower-watering. I'll honestly be glad when Weeding Day is over, and I can reinstate my Beautiful Town ordinance, where I won't have to worry about watering my flowers. As I started to make my way around town, I soon found Walker, who was about halfway between his house and Re-Tail. It was good to see him getting some exercise, considering all the talk he makes about food. He wanted me to catch him a butterfly, since he'd heard about the "butterfly effect". I'm almost certain the butterfly effect has nothing to do with real butterflies, Walker... But I agreed to catch one for him, soon finding a yellow butterfly which I took back to him. He seemed to like it, and rewarded me with a frog costume. Maybe if I put this on, I'll be better at catching bugs... Lolly was in her house again today. Come on, Lolly, get outside and enjoy the sunny weather! She asked me for some new furniture for her house, and I made a note to check the shops when I made it up to Main Street. Up by one of my special stumps, I found a famous mushroom, and was tempted to eat it to grow huge like Mario, but opted to hoard it away to sell instead. After heading around town to water my flowers and dig up fossils, I headed to Re-Tail to sell my inventory. I got a gold nugget from today's fake rock, and I now had enough gold nuggets to take to Cyrus in hopes that he'd make me one of the pieces of gold furniture I need to complete the series. Astrid came in, and I was excited to finally be able to get a pic of her in her new shirt! :D

She looks a little like a '50s housewife, with those big polka-dots, but I really like it. Back outside, Al pinged me, and my heart jumped up a little. But he didn't want to move; he only wanted to give me a modern wood table as a gift. Keep your filthy furniture, you Donkey Kong wannabe! Still, I thought that it might look nice in Lolly's house, but I was afraid she'd replace the kitchen sink I just gave her yesterday, so I opted to check the shops first before I took it back to her. Rosie was at home, and she was talking about one of the several people who have visited my town before. I forget if I've mentioned it here before, but unless someone who visits me is both on TBT and gives me permission, I won't mention their name here to respect their privacy. Near my east bridge, Mira pinged me, and told me she wanted to move on the 6th of next month. Yeah, you're not going anywhere...I don't care how interesting those "turf wars" sound. Punchy had his net out, and told me you never know when a bug will come flying out at you. I'm so glad we don't have to worry about any bugs doing that in this game except bees, tarantulas and scorpions. Come to think of it, ACNL is pretty dangerous... I headed off to double-check for dig spots and unwatered flowers, and found Walker again. He gave me a lacy white tank he thought I was hunting for. Um...okay. Back at my bridge, I found Mira and Punchy again, and they were both very angry. I wondered what might have made them so mad, and talked to them both. Unfortunately, I couldn't get much out of either of them.

Maybe Mira suggested Punchy stop smoking doobies, and Punchy got all mad about it. Then Mira got mad because Punchy did. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Savannah, fortunately, was in a better mood, and she was happy about the warmer weather and the "hopping herald of spring". I'm assuming she meant the Easter Bunny, because if not... well, I'm not sure I want to know.

I finally headed up to Main Street afterwards to do my catalog shopping, and found several accessories that I needed. I also found a nice holly bonsai that I thought would look nice in Lolly's house. I deposited some extra Bells at the post office, and headed back down to town to Lolly's place to give her her new plant. I was hoping she'd replace the butterfly on her table, but she ended up replacing her pickle jar instead, and that's also what she gave me as thanks. I don't care much for the pickle jar anyway, so I was glad to get it out of her house.

A while later, I found Eugene in his house, and he told me that his favorite phrase is "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". I guess that's appropriate, since he sure looks like an imitation of Fonzie from "Happy Days" to me. And I mean that in the nicest possible way. As usual, you can find the villagers' favorite phrases on their pics. I was about to shut off the game for the day, but I found Apollo, and since he was the only villager I hadn't talked to today, you'd better believe I wanted to speak to him. He asked me to come hang out at his house, and I was happy to. His house is slowly coming together; I especially like his little sofa and lamp in the corner as a little "reading area". He asked me if I wanted to buy anything, and I tried to buy one of his fossils. Unfortunately, he wasn't budging, so I bought the bear shirt he had on display instead. If I send him some more furniture, I'm hoping he'll get rid of those nasty fossils...

And that was my day in town. I'm looking forward to April Fools' Day tomorrow, and also the cherry blossoms! If none of you have experienced it, I can assure you it'll definitely a very fun time tomorrow. :D

Oh, Astrid looks adorable in that shirt! I wonder if Eugene's told her that, when they thought no one was around?

Don't you hate it when they buy/acquire something horrible in their house, then refuse to give it up? And they constantly complain that their house doesn't look right. Maybe it's that atrocious item in the middle of your room, you silly animal!

I was so happy to see the pink trees this morning! It's my favorite look in AC.

I'm very anxious to reinstate my Beautiful Town Ordinance, too. Weeding Day better be worth it. :P

So excited to see the cherry blossoms! I'm going to start up my game right now.
