i don't know if this thread exists, but i feel like it'd be kinda fun so...i did it! i even made an account just to post this
these are all confessions of questionable things you've done in acnl, pretty much anything goes.
my confession is that i hack my town. but i don't sell hacked stuff to people or anything, don't get the wrong idea!!
I've created several towns, played a few weeks and then abandoned them. I always intend to go back and work on them, but I have my main town that I play regularly and that takes up my creative energy while it's still being worked on. When I need a change of pace, I create a new town and the cycle repeats, haha.
Hi! My name is Ghost, and I am addicted to TTing and kind of neglecting my villagers because I wan't to get my town complete before having a relationship with them (lame right). Gomen nasai babies T.T
I make towns, lots of towns because I want to have as many villagers as I can. I am currently up to sixteen towns and yesterday began map questing for number 17. I know it sounds insane for one simple reason: because it is insane. But it's so fun!

aahh i wish i could be as dedicated as you!! i can barely manage one town for a few months without restarting soon after, im hoping my current town is gonna be the one i keep
My confession: I resetted too many times my town, mostly for the dumbest reasons. Everytime when I
thought I finally found a town I really like, I find something I dislike, reset my town and start a new one.
The worst thing is that takes sometimes so long till I find a new town. It's frustrating. Right now I make
a break from New Leaf and if I start to make a new town sometime, I will definitely not gonna start that
"reset-madness" again and will try to keep my town this time.
Ok, here's my confession: When Coach moved in front of my only bridge at the time, I really struggled to get him to move. For some reason, he seemed really unfriendly and he is very creepy looking (to me. No offense to those that love him - if you do, get ready to hate me...)...
So I stalked the island shop until they were selling the toy hammer (you know where this is going). I won't lie, I've done so much "research" for this game... I knew hitting him with the hammer would do nothing to make him move... But it did make me feel slightly better to whomp him every time I saw him walking around... I also saved up about 20 pitfalls and set them all up like a minefield outside his door. I fell into several of them myself while trying to whomp him while he was in there because... Karma I suppose...
I have never used the toy hammer since he left. He's still on my main street, safe from my hammer and the pit falls, so I like to think we both kinda won...
... I will also confess that I am a petty 28 year old woman who should know better than to pick on a scary looking unshaved cartoon bull... XP
I don't like the rain. It seems like everyone loves when it rains, especially when it is a thunderstorm, but I personally can't stand the days where it rains. I don't know why, but I think it has something to do with the squelching noise the grass makes when you walk. But something about the rain bothers me, and it makes me not want to play on those days.
Oh gee, do I have confessions to make! LOL Here goes:
I restart my (three) towns frequently, usually in a month or so once the house is fully expanded. I love picking a new town layout and all the early parts of the game. I do not even know how many towns I have had.
I time travel without guilt, any time I feel like it. For example, I hate Hallowe'en on ACNL because Jack freaks me out and once I lost my favorite outfit and got a raggedy one. So I time travel past it.
I give my animal villagers unseemly greetings and catchphrases, as long as they would not be something inappropriate for a child to hear in the Dream Suite (and wouldn't upset the child's mother).
I once started a town named "Rotten" and made it as horrible as I could, with a solid black pathway graphic covering every inch of the town, no trees or flowers, an ugly flag, repulsive town tune, and everything else as rotten as possible. I used my amiibo cards to fill it with the animals I dislike the most and ignored all of them. I made my house as tiny as possible and used what looked like corrugated iron for the walls, and the sloppy furniture set, and left presumably rotting bananas on the floor. I didn't make a dream of it at the Dream Suite. Surprisingly, I got tired of it after a few weeks and restarted. I got what I deserved, though, because I had forgotten to wait until my town tree was big enough so that Tom Nook would buy the town! So I ended up with nothing. Perfectly Rotten.
I go to my towns sometimes for no reason at all, except to fish just for the sake of fishing. It is so relaxing.
Lol. Here's hoping we see grass deterioration make an exit if we get a main series game on the Switch (instead of another spin off) and hopefully there will be less town abandonment. I know if I wasn't freaking out about it all the time, I might be restarting my town very less often or even never at all xD
sometimes i get really upset when i tell a villager i won't get them a fish or bug i know i can't catch. they just wanted a creature and only i can help them
