Is it me or do a lot of the walking sounds sound a lot like minecraft? Also we start off with a nearly blank island,, we can soon turn into a town. Minecraft also has villagers and villagers. We can craft eat food and build stuff,, Animal crossing is minecraft Conspiracy theory I think not.

It make sense since our source of big heart attacks in AC is the tarantulas and scorpions. Same vibe as creepers just popping out of nowhere.

Closer to Sims but with less complex game play. I prefer AC, it's super relaxing with not a lot of drawbacks. I remember playing Sims and how it started to feel like work in ensure that my characters are doing their daily chores or they'll be sad/mad/sick/etc

Lol! That is is almost the same as what i told my brother when he asked what was the game about. I have never played minecraft, though. Only saw my siblings game play a little, so i dont know how accurate the comparison is.

The biggest difference between the two for me is that I can't actually play Minecraft. It makes me physically sick.

I thought I'm the only one. Do you get like this with most FPS or super frantic 3rd person game? I tried playing Roblox with my son a few times to just hang out and after 10 mins, I have to tap out, lol

It applies to a lot of games for me - especially older (in the 90s I could play Spyro the Dragon for hours on end, now if I try to play the PS1 version I'll have my head over the toilet after 15 minutes) or first person games. I often have to mess with the camera settings in first person games - e.g. I couldn't play God of War without feeling sick until I figured out how to get the camera to stop bouncing with every step Kratos took.

i super feel you on this. i bought skyrim for the switch and its a forced first person perspective until you get control over your character and can switch to third person, but by the time i already was feeling too much like throwing up to go on - rinse and repeat, i just brought the game back because i can't overcome this motion sickness. same applies to minecraft for me, as well as a lot of games like fortnite, sometimes even movies. it sucks, because it makes some seemingly good games unplayable for me, as well as certain videos that show off gameplay definitely unwatchable.

Yeah when the game first came out I got some serious Minecraft vibes. I kept thinking every time I destroyed a tile of land I would obtain some dirt in my pockets. 😓

Motion sickness when playing video games is definitely a thing! You're correct that any game with a first-person camera is the most likely to cause it. It's similar to how people experience motion sickness in a car/boat; your brain interprets motion due to the camera, but you aren't actually moving, which causes the nausea. For some people, games with third-person cameras can also cause it depending on how the camera moves/just how you're feeling on any given day.

I can't do any games with a first-person camera (even chill stuff like "walking sims") unless I want to suffer; most games under the FPS label are impossible due to the reaction times needed.

You can do things like mess with the FOV settings in games or changing your distance from the monitor/TV to try and mitigate it, but yeah, it's a serious pain to deal with. Other people have said that turning off camera bob in first-person games helps, but it does the opposite for me, haha.
