Animal Crossing Amiibo Card Packs are being sold in the US again!!

Thank you for posting this! I am so happy! 😊 hopefully they won’t be sold out before christmas since that’s when i’ll only be able to get them (I might try to ask my mom but I rather not since she already does a lot of me :/)

i related to this post so much. i hope u manage to get the cards u need and want. every few days ive been going on etsy, contemplating buying those fake cards but i am glad i didnt. mayhaps for my favs i will take a cute lil fake card just because but im going full on Nintendo Card mode now.

i hope that this isn't just a one and done restock bc that wouldnt really make much sense for nintendo when there will be profit in selling these cards (like a 99.9% chance theyll profit), but tbh the fact that they didnt start restocking these cards in countries other than Japan (citation needed) when the game released shows that perhaps they dont make the most sound of decisions. but there is also a huge world issue going on right now so that may be why it wasnt feasible on launch.

Sweet! I wonder what "select retailers" they'll be available at? I got the super few I have all from Target (I've only got a few of the "Welcome Amiibo" ones I think- whatever the ones are with the RV on them) and I'm hoping I'll be able to get more there... since Target is already a twice weekly stop for my household, lol
I also want to point out that Toys R Us had them during the initial release. It was the only place I could find cards at. Everywhere else sold out almost instantly. It was kinda like my secret AC card dealer lololol.

Thank you ^.^; I hope the same for you.

I hope when they release them in other countries again (if they do), that they give them the same amount of cards as us. I don’t know what they’re thinking giving them less :/; I don’t think that’s cool or fair of them. I know it is what it is, but I just feel really bad since I can’t/can imagine how much harder it is for someone elsewhere to complete their collection with less cards in the packs if I’m having trouble even with the full amount.

HECK YESSS!!!
Now people are able to get amiibos for a much cheaper price than the ones on eBay! I'm so glad nintendo restocked these.

This is so relatable. Toys R Us has always been my go-to when looking for a game or 'merch' like this that was hard to come by from the usual players. I also got all my cards here! 🥰

Sadly I think all the Toys R Us near me got shut down 😔
Guess for the new batch of amiibos I'll have to go look elsewhere

im commenting so much on this thread bc i am Excited and Obsessed. i also got the few packs i have at Toys R Us and when i first saw this thread i thought "oh god no toys r us is dead" and now im Scared for My Life. Toys R Us would have been my first place to go for cards because no one goes there for things for "kids" they go to the big name places like Target and Walmart but i think that line of thinking is also why it died because no one went there you know?

but now hear me out my animal crossing addicts, i have a Big Brain Theory. at least where i live GameStop??? no one knows her. she's like toys r us but not out of business. i think people may be intimidated by its reputation??? especially parents who are just getting some nice things for their kids but only like to go to Target for their toys because its familiar and Target has never let them down!! but i recently got 2 amiibo figures at GameStop, and then i got the rest at Five Below. the fact that Five Below had amiibo figures probably means that they may get some card packs, in fact, i think the new leaf section of these forums also had some threads about finding amiibo cards at Five Below. so, armed with these little nuggets of facts, i now present to you, my fellow forum fiends, The Game Plan. Walmart and Target will have cards, but not for long. GameStop is empty, and so . go to GameStop after you go to the Big Brands. and maybe hit up Five Below a few weeks or so after their release. but u did NOT hear this from me im speaking words into the wind and u happen to be outside when it's windy, u see?

As somebody who trades a lot, I’m hoping to trade my duplicates for cards I’m missing without having to spend any more money, as hopefully activity in trading will increase and give me more opportunities

It’s a little bittersweet as it’s nice knowing you own something not a lot of people have though. Can’t lie about that

I was planning on doing the same with extras. I'm still kicking myself for tossing a big stash of extras I had a year and a half before ACNH was announced. Now I would rather work with other people to get multiple collections done.

Yeah I’m missing around 100 cards? But have around 160 duplicates so hopefully I can just finish and live a peaceful life lmao

Oh dear, a new chance for me to start collecting amiibo cards, oh my poor wallet will not like that. 😅

I guess I will buy the one or other pack just out of fun, perhaps I have enough luck and getting some good ones. It's overall nice to see that they coming back to the shops!

Great news indeed! I’ve never bought any sort of amiibos/amiibo cards before so this will be a great opportunity for me to grab a couple and see if I get lucky! $5.99 does not seem like such a bad deal, how many comes in a pack? Hopefully I don’t get too sucked in and go broke lol

how many comes in a pack?

Series 1-4 packs contain 5 villager cards, and 1 npc card. Each series has 100 cards, with 400 cards total. Series 1-3 has 17 NPC cards and 83 villager cards, while Series 4 has 16 NPC cards and 84 villager cards.

Welcome Amiibo packs contain 6 villager cards. Welcome Amiibo has 50 villager cards in total, with no NPC cards.

sawthis and thought I jumped the gun buying the phoebe card yesterday, but thankfully not. would not want to wait till november to get her, but will be fun getting these when they come out as no other villager is a priority to me right now

I do wonder if they'll add in the New Horizons characters in later editions of if they'll just keep it series 1 through 4.
