amiibo

I was almost sucked into the hype for it. Then I remembered they aren't free. Gonna be expensive to collect them all. Plus I can see them releasing second series. Yoshi 2.0 this one spits fireballs and other stuff you don't need

I like the idea.

I'm going to buy some, but not all of them, just my favorites.

We'll see what ends up happening. lol @ everyone it wont be cheap. But if the price is relative to the other NFC things then does that change it? I bet not, people want something for nothing again. You see stupid parents dump out a bundle of money for a million of those, but if Nintendo rolls around with one a couple dollars more (and i really mean like up to $5) and all of a sudden they've gone too far. Just like "if the wiiu gets a price cut i'll buy it *-$50* if the wiiu gets a price cut i'll buy it" you guys said that last time. Still trying to get something for nothing!
I'll def get a couple of them. I'll have to restrain because I'm sure you just don't need too many LOL But I want Yoshi & Mario, and then I'm interested in the Wii Fit Trainer and Villager, possibly Kirby. But depends on what they end up actually fully doing in the end. Yoshi & Mario seem like they'd go for multiple things. MP10, Smash Bros, MK8, but then Fit Trainer & Villager = left out sorta? Unless Wii Fit U gets a Fit U Resort, then Fit Trainer can apply for multiple games, Villager can apply for AC:U. But those games are far off as of yet.

I probably will get a couple, like three or four, but ONLY for my favorite Smash characters like Kirby.

I don't really understand how they work. But they games work without them so that's OK with me. Maybe I'd get a couple.

Well, it's a cute idea, but not really my cup of tea. If I were a kid I imagine I'd be completely in love with the idea of Amiibo.

I just have to say, unless they do end up charging too much for each figure, I can't see this doing bad at all. If Skylanders and Disney Infinity sell well, then people will be clamoring to get their hands on Nintendo figurines. If they're compatible with multiple games it may justify a higher price tag. Or not. Depends what really ends up happening.

The amiibo figures is a pretty good idea. I think that the Skylanders figures appeal mainly to children, but these Nintendo toys would appeal to all Wii U owners. I would consider buying a Link and a Zelda amiibo myself. I'm excited to see what games you can use these things in. So far, it's only Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8 right?

You can use them with captain toad, yoshis wolly world and Mario party 10, too
