Hello,

I have a few questions regarding amiibo cards. One typically is buying cards in specific, I have the chance to obtain 4 cards that I wish for, however the the total cost reaches to ?20+ Is this a normal range for the cards I chose? (Francine, Rudy, Fang and Pashmina.) Or is this way too steep?

The way in which you invite those villagers to your town, does this bypass the 16 villager cycle? For example, if Fang left my town recently and I had his amiibo card, could I invite him back this way without the concern of cycling him out of the pre-existing cycle data?

Are there any other benefits (including HHD) for the amiibo cards in which you can use them?

I ask so many questions haha..I had no clue where to post this! xD

The cards you chose usually go for a somewhat steep price because they’re desired villagers. However, I’d look on Etsy (people sell them on there all the time) or on Depop (it’s an app, pretty much an online thrift store, you can find HUNDREDS of amiibo cards on there). Ebay is also another good place ro look before you purchase. Just compare prices, that’s what I always do.

I’m not exactly sure of the answer for your second question, I’d imagine it’s a yes though, considering all the people who sell villagers sometimes have to do the same villager back to back, and there’s no way that they could obtain and box that villager within 15 minutes if they had to cycle out 16 others beforehand. But I’m unsure, so I can’t say for certain.

Having the cards do have benefit, like having that villager at your disposal, being able to sell them on the bell tree, being able to invite them into HHD and do their hous, etc etc.

Thank you for this advice, as I message I am looking into Depop now. I have looked on Etsy and I cannot find them cheap to ship to my country, which is very unfortunate and they are also far and few between there in terms of the ones I desire. Ebay is the place I have managed to find four of these cards and I am going to look into talking to the seller about the ones I would also like that are out of stock. :)

As for the cycle, that was what I was thinking too, else that would be a very good loophole many different people could get through to avoid it.

The amiibos bypass the rule. So yeah it works. I scanned some villager in via a card and they plotted in a terrible spot. So I scanned them out and then rescanned them in with plot resetting (boy was that a pain) but it worked. The amiibo cards will have a blank memory. They aren't the same villager as the one who originally came to your town. Think of it like your villager left and so you cloned them without their previous memories of you.

Also depending on what cards you want, they're going to be higher. Some cards are more desired then others. Marshall is like $40 which is too much even if he is a dreamie (and I think he is overrated anyway)

Oh wow! Thank you for this info! I basically would like to have all my dreamies for amiibo cards for HHD, but now I know this, that means there isn't so much of a struggle obtaining them if I have those cards for my town. :)
