So I scanned Marshal, gave him a bucket and asked him to move in. But now he says I need to invite him some other day. What must I do? Do I need to scan him again tomorrow? (I don’t TT)

Invite him 3 times and he'll agree to move in.
And yeah that means you gotta scan him tomorrow, and the day after, remember to do his task.
