Amibo Villager Replace option not working? (Fixed)

I’ve spent the last three days using my one and only Amibo card to replace my most hated villager, Broccolo. Despite my efforts to not talk to the villager since the start of my game he still wanders in the background and continues on about how much he loves ‘the bugs in his walls’ and no matter how many times I have Isabelle reset his speech, I guess bugs are his main focal point, making his personality is not appealing. As soon as I saw that it was possible to replace villagers I took my one amibo card (Gladys) and patiently went through the three days that it took before she finally allowed me to ask her to move in. The third day (which was today) I went on excited, as I’d finally berid of my dreaded villager. I fulfilled Gladys’s request and was given the option to invite her in. The usual response as she headed to townhall, and when she came back she said my village was full. And that was it. Three days for nothing. And no matter how hard I try to get the option again, it doesn’t budge. It won’t allow me to replace Broccolo, and now my other plot has been filled with yet another villager I despise despite me placing it only yesterday. I love this game I really do, but this is simply rage inducing for me. I live for the idea of randomizes villagers, but with villagers as badly designed, unappealing, disgusting and frustrating as Broccolo, it really ruins the game for me. If anyone knows the solution to this problem, if the feature to replace villagers was removed all-together, or of its just a matter of patience and for me to try the next day. Please, I beg, let me know.

it sounds like you just had a random move-in. You need 10 villagers already for the trick to work. Once you have 10, you should be able to kick Brocollo out. If you get your town full and invite Gladys to your campsite again, you should be able to kick someone out of your choice.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.

Sorry to bother again, but I’ve waited a day or two after the random move in, and it appears that she still won’t offer to replace Broccolo, despite no random move ins occurring today and that I’ve already reached my 10 villager limit. I don’t know if I’m missing something or not.

His phrase about bugs in the wall is a phrase used by lazy villagers. It is not a custom phrase created by another player, and therefore Isabelle cannot do anything about it.

Are any of your villagers in boxes (Moving in or out)?

Broccolo is my son- He says the cutest things: "You're welcome to come other any time. Especially if I'm home. And awake." And when I gave him a little dress he said he hoped he'd look dapper (He always wanted to look dapper!) And I don't mind the bug talk-- I'd take him from you if I didn't already have him, for real.

That’s weird.
How it’s supposed to work is if you have 10 villagers and do the 3 quests, you’re able to move the amiibo in and choose who you want kicked out. If you keep talking to the amiibo, they’ll eventually bring up dialogue to want to stay. With Flurry I had to reinvite her after the 3 quests, and she brought it up once I invited her a fourth time. If you said your amiibo has offered but your island is full, it should work.
Do you have 10 villagers not including yourself? Have you reinvited her and talked to her multiple times? And did she bring up wanting to move in again?
