Trading Amelia! :( Got scammed by another player

Since i'm new to adopting dreamies, i didn't know the standard procedure. I went to their town, and they told me to drop my 1 million bells before asking her to move in with me. I dropped my money, and they ended the session. v_v

What i mean by "flicked the switch" is booting me from their town.

If they had ended the session, they would have kept the money. Otherwise, you wouldn't have lost anything.

No they can't. It's only if they properly end the session will that person will keep the money.
