I had two years away from AC, kept my cart but not once in that time did I turn my game on, if I'm honest half the reason was because I thought all my favs would have left and new people would have parked themselves right in the middle of my golden roses. But, when I turned my cart on after all that time, expecting a Barron wasteland and a load of people I didn't know, literally NOTHING had changed, not one character had left, all exactly the same as when I left, all my flowers were intact and the only difference I could find was a load of wild flowers and the odd Clover.
Is this normal ? I know people worry that if they leave their game for two days people might have moved out, am I just lucky ?
You are so lucky!! I stopped playing for a couple years and when I went back I was so upset legit all my fav villagers moved out luckily though no new ones put their houses in places where I had hybrids or in the middle of pathways haha
I hadn't played for 2 years and was going to go back to the date of my last play, but Isabelle made me do the update. I expected a mess, but everyone was still there, no bugs in the house, no bad hair. I did lose my hybrids, but that's ready enough.
Oh, I have Night Owl, so the lack of damage surprised me.
I'm wondering if it's the update that prevented damage from the town though? One of my friends hadn't played in over a year but she had to do the update before she played as well and her town was perfectly intact as well; didn't lose any flowers, hair was the same, no roaches, etc. She also doesn't have any ordinances intact because she hadn't gotten far into the game so it couldn't have been that for her, I guess you're either really lucky or the update is saving us all haha.
The update removes all the weeds for players that have been gone for along time. It was annoying for my spare town that was growing them for my real towns.
If you stopped a mover just before you stopped playing for 2 years NO one will move. Make sure to talk to all your villagers because one should be trying to leave. I've stopped a mover and than jumped 6 months. All the villagers were there.
