Both the iron wall lamps (wall mounted furniture in general) and stacked foreign fruit are good gifts for villagers.

The advantage of iron wall lamps is they increase friendship faster than the fruit stacks.
The disadvantage of iron wall lamps will eventually cause the villager to remove their original wall/homewares furniture. Villagers have an inventory limit of 64.

That being said, if you don't care about keeping your villagers "original", then go ham on the iron wall lamps.

So they get rid of a random furniture not just wall furniture after youve given them 64 items... do table top items count as furniture???

So to those of you thst gift the wall mounted items.. in your experience doing this what happend to all of there table top items??? Did they refresh themselves or did they dissapear?!?! Please let me know

I gave iron wall lamps until I hit best friends and I change their greeting. Then I switch to the full inventory/unwrapped fruit til I get a picture. I’ve gotten 6 so far.

Disappear. I was initally gifting my villagers iron wall lamps and Merengue refused to give me her photo for the longest time so after a bunch of iron wall lamps later (I wasn't keeping count) I noticed all her wall hanging and table top items disappeared.

but why did the wall hanging stuff dissapear i would think it would turn into iron wall lamps..

Actually if you want an item out gifting same size item works. Used this to get rid of ankha golden toilet.

Once you gift them the 64 items and the furniture starts to dissapear.. can you give them the furniture back or is it gone for good??

I've been gifting wrapped exotic wreaths for them to hang on their doors. I haven't gotten a picture this way yet, but my island looks nicer.
