So... I just turned on my 3DS ready to make a trade that I've really been looking forward to and.. it's gone! My whole town has completely gone.

I can't even describe right now.. I've heard stories of data corruption before but I thought I'd be safe with the physical copy.

I loved my town. I had it all set up right, I had finished the interior and exterior of my house and was just about to trade for the final set I've been waiting for.

I feel so gutted and lost, I looked back through all the pictures and I don't know how I'm going to find a town like it

But I just want to say a massive thank you to everybody who has sold/given away their items to help me build my perfect house. I'm so greatful and hopefully I'll get it all back eventually.

This has turned into a bit of a rant but I needed to tell someone!

I'm so sorry this happened, I'd be devastated as well . Do you have any idea how it happened?

The only thing I can think of is that the cartridge popped out, just after it has finished saving. I dind't think anything of it but it turns out.. it's pretty serious. Please, all of you, be so careful when you're saving!

thank you for the offers that's really generous of you all! But.. if you've seen my posts before, you'll know it took be the best part of 10,000 resets to finally get that town.. so I don't think I'll be getting one any time soon. But I'll keep at it, I need a town for toy day!

Aww yeah I've heard people had problems with the cartridge popping out during saves, it sucks .

That happened to me last night! But I fixed it I turned off my 3ds took out the SD card and put it back till I heard it clicked then turned my 3ds back on and everything was back ^^

Yeah, I accidentally popped out the cartridge when taking my 3ds off the cradle today. Luckily, I guess I was on the title screen.

I'm so sorry this happened! *Hugs* Don't worry, everyone will be with you and your new town. ^^ It's such a shame that so many people are losing their towns like this...there's really a ton of threads like this one and it's making me want to say, "Seriously, Nintendo?" I know not every corruption is their fault, though, so I can't really blame them.
I honestly think someone should create a group called "The Corrupted Towns Group" in honor of everyone who's lost their towns to data corruption.

I'm so sorry. I cant even imagine going through anything like this. I honestly worry about it everyday. I hope you make a new town that you are satisfied with. Best wishes!
