Aimless island wandering

Me lol, I do that as an excuse to procrastinate, cuz sometimes I just don't know what to do with some of my areas anymore so I just wander all around my island and just admire the areas I already am done with and quite proud of, but on other times, I also kinda lowkey wanna redo some of those areas because there really are times when you just get too used to how it looks that you kinda wanna freshen them up cuz it's kinda looking quite boring, and try new ideas if it'll work, but idk how to start and redo them so I just don't redo some areas anymore cuz I'm afraid to make it worse when it's already decent enough lol...

I do it a lot but not quite aimlessly. I do while waiting for something to happen. Sometimes it takes a while for my islanders to have conversations with one another. (I managed to hear a new one, between a snooty and a jock, just the other day!) Or fall asleep under the tree. Or mysteriously appear in areas only accessible by vaulting or climbing. Taking screenshots is one of my favourite things to do, so I have to play the waiting/wandering/lurking/stalking-my-residents game for it.

I do this sometimes when I'm bored or to just do it for fun.

I do this a lot, usually because I have like 20 things I want to do and instead of doing them one by one I just end up running back and forth being distracted by everything I see along the path, or worse, I forget what I was even going to do and don't realise it until I am way off track.

I do also like racing around my island looking for villagers/visitors too but I don't think that counts as 'aimlessly'

I always forget what I'm doing and end up running around aimlessly haha. I'll remember I need something from my house and get distracted along the way and then forget what I was originally doing.

usually when I'm trying to think of stuff to do on the island or even try to put off turning off my switch I'll just kind of run about... I've been doing it since NL to be fair but at least back then i convinced myself it was productive because I was trying to get those dirt paths

Definitely. When I don't really know what to do, I just run around to see if there's anything I can get into.

I really like aimlessly wandering around my island at night in good weather. It feels so peaceful with the moon shining down and relaxing music, plus it's fun running into different villagers awake each night for different reasons.

Yes! I do this after i stopped playing for a couple days and come back to look at all the sites i finished so far. Also, I search for my villagers to check on them and the beach for Gullivar or Gullivarrr.

Sometimes! I like hearing the sound my sandals make when walking on different paths and on the beach. Usually this ends up as a hunt for bugs, but still enjoy wandering, admiring different areas, and listening to ambient noise.

Yes, I do that. When I get a little bored doing the usual stuff on my island, I just walk around to relax and take in the scenery. It contributes absolutely nothing to complete the game, but it's nice to take a breather every now and then.

Mostly when I’m playing with friends and we’re just chatting over discord not doing anything. We tend to just fun in circles or really small repetitive patterns lol
