Aimless island wandering

Do you ever just walk or run around your island aimlessly?
I've found myself doing it quite a bit- especially when procrastinating terraforming or decorating an area

Yeah it's my friggin ADHD . happens when i'm trying to do something irl too. tryina practice my pirrouettes and then im like "ooh a squirrel is at the birdfeeder again"

i’ve found myself, get this, walking, around my island. i think i’m growing very proud of what my island has become, it just becomes very peaceful walking around, resembling that i built everything. created everything. it’s mind-boggling!

i do this a lot. sometimes because im too overly ambitious with my daily tasks and try to get too many things done at once that it ends up backfiring on me. i'd run from one end of my island to the other then go "what was i doing again?" lmao.

I usually do it whilst contemplating harvesting fruit or wood supplies. A couple nights ago I got so bored that I harvested every accessible flower on my island. That took much longer than expected, but I do have a healthy supply of giftable wreaths because of it.

Not gonna lie, that's the main reason I wander
I'll be like...okay, gotta go home and grab some crafting materials! (halfway to my house) Wait, where was I going? OH! Look, I didn't harvest those fruit! (harvests fruit) Cool, now to sell it. (halfway to store) Wait, was I...? OH! A fossil spot! (digs it up) Now to head to the museum! Oh, another fossil spot! Wait, why are my pockets full of fruit? ...Oh, right. Then I sell everything, quit for the day, come back the next day and think, "Wait, wasn't I going to build something to put there? Why didn't I ever get the crafting materials from my house? And then the process starts all over again...

That, uh, pretty much constitutes most of my day in ACNH

Some of the best quality time for me in the game is just hanging around my island. I built it for me and it makes me happy. I can’t understand people who invest time and energy into their islands for months and then just reset over ennui or some arbitrary thing, but that’s their island...

I've noticed that I've been doing this quite often lol I've been making paths and figuring out how to terraform areas lately that when I'm out of ideas or inspiration I tend to aimlessly run around my island and just look for my villagers to check on what they are doing.
