Hi everyone,

So as the title states, I have become somewhat bored of my town. I don't really enjoy my lay out anymore, I feel stuck with PWP's, and I just want to have fun again. Problem is, I feel like I have made so much progress with my town that I don't necessarily want to reset... I have all of my fossils donated, I have all of my emotions from Dr. Shrunk, I feel like I have basically all of the sets I want as well...

How do you over come bored-ness without resetting? Any advice?

Start working on getting badges from creepy badge guy! You could also revamp your house! Change up the interior and exterior, create an alt and start working on that house. Move out one of your dudes and freshen up the pack. I usually go to really amazing dream towns and see what their towns look like then draw inspiration for a certain theme then go crazy landscaping and doing my own theme.

I buy old used copies of the game from old game stores and revamp their towns into beautiful pieces of work! It's also fun to see what other people left behind and see what their towns were like. And you could also just wipe the town out completely and start fresh with that.

Thank you! I've been trying to work on badges from the creepy badge dude, and also visit dream addresses! And that's a good idea, going to get old copies. I keep thinking about buying another cartridge but at the time I don't think I have enough time for two towns! But maybe it's just what I need?

I'm planning on making an Eerie, Indiana town if I get a new copy since I don't want to abandon my old town and designs

I bought a second copy of the game. I liked my original town but didn't want to reset it even though I wasn't playing it as much.

Having a second town really reignited my interest in the game, I'm even playing my original town again.

I appreciate everyone's responses! I may just start a whole new town. But I'm not sure. Last night I decided to demolish a huge part of my town that I was enjoying but then decided I didn't like it, so I am hoping that will ignite my passion again to somewhat restart my town. Just redesign it! I woke up feeling motivated, actually starting playing before I left for work this morning haha.

Starting a new town is really exhausting especially when you’re so far in to the town you have! It’s nice though
Alternatively you could move out at least one villager you pay the least attention to and replace them with another dreamie who didn’t make the cut. Or make a second player and work on upgrading and decorating their house! Or completely change the color theme of your town with new flowers and bushes and paths :) like an above poster said, visiting dream towns also really helps for inspiration

But ultimately I think starting a new town is the most extreme decision but probably most likely to make you not bored because it’s a completely clean slate with a diff map, no landscaping yet, perhaps diff fruits and diff villagers :)

Like others said, buy a second copy. My first town was almost done with barely anything left to do but i still wanted to play as I love acnl. So i got another copy and im good to go!

Yeah, this just might be the way to cure my boredom so to speak! Right now I have fixed up some paths, dug up some bushes and demolished some PWPs to be redone and i'm enjoying doing that currently :) but the second town maaaay just end up happening after all

I bought a second copy, but I'm so indecisive that I have absolutely no idea what to do with it. My current town, Lacroix, is a bright town filled with fruit trees, flowers, and bushes. I couldn't come up with a theme for the second one. What I've done in Lacroix is make a second character that I can role-play as. She's Galia, and she's a mermaid girl. My main character I make sure is basically just a port of me into the game, but with a secondary character who's unlike you at all, you can change up your gameplay a lot without totally starting over.
