I think Battalion Wars did good, just not as good as its handheld counterpart.

I never played a handheld Famicom Wars. However, I enjoyed Battalion Wars II. Maybe I'll get Advance Wars: Day of Ruin this week.

Advance Wars is more like Fire Emblem except that your characters don't fight but command troops you can buy. It's a great game nonetheless.

I enjoyed FE: RD so I may buy it on Wednesday since I'm desperately awaiting a game similar to it.
