Hi I have not been online this forum for awhile, and I noticed that the ABD on the forum does not yield anymore forum bells as interest if one deposits TBT bells into the ABD and was just wondering: why? Thank you!

wait. how do you even abuse interest?
A group of members were pooling their bells together and sending the huge amount back and fourth between each other to put in their banks. They then collected interest on the huge amount and got like 1000 bells of interest that they could keep. Then they'd send the bells that they were borrowing back to their friends and keep their bells + the interest bells they just earned. To prevent this from happening we disabled the interest because that wasn't how it was supposed to be used. We likely will not turn it back on and instead we're working on another way to get free daily bells.

That was exactly the story. Not only that, but there were other problems along with the abuse. One was that it only helped rich people make more bells while most people don't get very much from the interest system.

You have a good point there. I've never had many bells so it wouldn't of benefited for me much. I never actually thought about that.
